What Sellfies is

Sellfies is a photo-buying service for women, and it pays a one-time fee per photo set. It describes itself as "a picture selling service": a woman sells new and old private pictures and receives a payment that depends on how many pictures she uploads and how explicit they are. It costs nothing to start, because the guide tells new sellers to begin by creating a "free Sellfies account". Because Sellfies "does not work with subscribers", the site says no social media following is needed. The site runs in English, Italian, French, German, Spanish, Czech, Polish, Swedish, Portuguese, Hungarian and Romanian.

How earning works here

The earner is someone with photos on a phone or computer who wants a quick payment rather than a fan base. The guide sets out two ways to earn. Step 1 is selling photos: after signing up, the seller uploads selfies directly from her phone or computer, they should be "clear and natural", and once the upload is reviewed and approved, she receives payment. Step 2 is referrals: after creating an account, each seller gets her own referral link, which she can share on social media, in group chats or with friends. The guide says that when someone signs up through the link and sells her photos, the referrer earns a reward. The home page adds that there is "no limit to how many people you can refer," and that the referrer earns when the invited seller makes a sale. The size of the reward is not given.

Sellfies sells two packages, and the compensation page spells out what each contains. The first is 10 photos of yourself, each one unique, with the face visible and unedited, self-made and selfie style only, the kind of ordinary Instagram or everyday photo. The second is 5 normal photos plus 5 adult photos, which the page describes as sexy and adult selfies, with the same rules. As of October 2026 the compensation page pays 7.50 euros for the first package and 15.00 euros for the second. The home page describes the two as "least effort" and "most earnings". Two pages also state that a seller can upload a maximum of 14 pictures, while the packages themselves ask for 10. The home page says a complete photo package must be uploaded to receive payment, and it flags "High demand for ladies aged 45+".

The image requirements page lists what every photo has to meet. The face must be visible and recognizable in all pictures, because the site says it is legally obliged to know that it really is the seller in the picture. Every photo has to be different, taken in a different place, setting, angle, pose and clothing. The same page describes content levels in plain terms: partly dressed photos in a bra and panties, nude photos with partial or full nudity, and explicit photos. The FAQ says nudity is not required: photos can be clothed, sexy, topless or nude, and the more "private" the pictures are, the more the seller is paid. It also says it is possible to sell normal photos only, and the choice is up to the seller.

What the buyer does with the photos is stated openly. The home page and FAQ say the photos are used to help teach AI systems to see and understand the world, and that some may also be used in research or creative projects that need real, everyday images. The home page says most photos are used for AI model development and visual research, while "some may also appear in approved entertainment or creative platforms", and the how-to page says sold pictures can be used on (adult) entertainment platforms. The site says they are never visible on search engines or social media and that a seller's personal details are never shared. An article on the site about AI training repeats the pitch: authentic photos from real people help technology understand human faces and expressions, and taking part is voluntary.

Money and rules

Payment is a one-time flat fee per approved photo package, not a revenue share, and there is no stated percentage, subscription income or tip. The fee is the package price and nothing is added later. Sellers are told compensation depends on the nature of the pictures, with spicier ones paying more.

Timing is set out in the FAQ: once the pictures are reviewed and approved, "All payments are processed in less than 24 hours during business hours," and pictures approved on a weekend are processed on the next business day. The seller selects a preferred payment method, and the home page says payment is sent "through your selected provider"; the FAQ warns that some payment providers may add delays of their own. Two seller testimonials on the compensation page fit that picture: one says the photos were approved within half an hour and paid after 2 days because it was the weekend, another that she got her money the same day. The pages do not name the payment methods on offer, a minimum balance or a withdrawal fee.

Identity checks are part of signing up. The home page's first step is to register and verify the account, and the FAQ says Sellfies is "legally obliged to do record keeping" of its creators, checks that the person in the picture is the person on the ID, and verifies identity to confirm that every seller is an adult and that nobody is using someone else's pictures. The terms page refers to the operator as "the Company" and says it may shut down inactive accounts after a certain amount of time.

Rights are the main trade-off. The FAQ answers "Will I be the owner of my content?" with a no: once the seller has sold content to Sellfies, it belongs to Sellfies. The how-to page says the same: by selling the images, the seller agrees to their use and releases the rights to them, meaning Sellfies owns the content from that point on. The terms describe the sellers as "Models" and say each Model creates content at her own cost, expense and liability, and that the agreement creates no partnership, employment or agency relationship.

On privacy, the FAQ says anonymity is "a crucial part" of the service and that name and other personal details are used only for payments and record-keeping obligations. It also says Sellfies "will not remove any of the pictures on request" once a set has been sold. The how-to page offers an anonymity option in which Sellfies blurs or crops the face before further use, while the image requirements still ask for a visible, recognizable face in the upload itself.

Who it suits and who it does not

Sellfies suits a woman who wants a single payment for photos she already has and does not want to build a following, answer fans or run a page. A seller who wants to stay unseen should note that every upload must show a visible, recognizable face, even though Sellfies offers to blur or crop it before use. It also suits someone comfortable with the stated uses, namely AI training, research and creative projects, because that is the product being bought. The referral link adds a side route for someone with an audience of her own, though the pages say nothing about its size.

It suits less well anyone who wants to keep owning or reselling the pictures, since they pass to Sellfies for good. The money is capped by the package prices, so it is a small one-time sum, not a way to build recurring income, and a sold picture cannot be withdrawn later. The pages address women throughout. A seller who wants a fan relationship, tips, custom requests or a subscription should look at other types of platform.
