What BentBox is

BentBox is a content sales marketplace for photographers, videographers and adult creators. Sellers package photos or videos into Boxes, set a price, and buyers pay once per Box rather than subscribing. It is operated by Haas & Reed B.V. (registration number 68817940, Mantelmeeuwhof 15, Utrecht, Netherlands, per the terms) and is free to join: its FAQ says creating an account, uploading and listing Boxes costs nothing.

The company description says it is based in Utrecht, Netherlands, and was founded in 2014. The selling pages say "Since 2015" and "Operating since 2015", so the 2 start years differ between pages. The site accepts both mainstream and mature work and says that work reaches BentBox and Folio when eligible. A reader who wants a per-purchase store, not a monthly subscription, is the target.

How earning works here

The unit of sale is the Box, described on the site as "content packages of your nude photos or videos with a title, description, and price." The seller picks the title, the description and the price. The site also says a seller can sell access only, "like a digital book", or licensed content, and that it is up to the seller. For each Box the seller decides whether files can be downloaded or only viewed.

The company page compares itself with OnlyFans: BentBox uses a one-time purchase model, buyers pay per Box, and there are no monthly subscriber fees. The terms do add a second format, saying uploaders "may set your own prices for Premium Content and Membership subscriptions", and the creator menu lists "Launch a private Club", so recurring income from a club is also on offer.

Each seller gets a public page at bentbox.co/your-username, which the site suggests sharing on social media, in chats, on your own site or in a link-in-bio. Its price guide puts the job of promotion on the seller, so bringing your own audience matters. The same guide says the site shares everybody's content on many web pages and social media channels daily, but it does not describe how much traffic that sends.

On ranking, the terms are explicit. BentBox says it does not operate a recommendation algorithm, does not rank content by popularity, revenue or engagement, does not personalize what a user is shown, and does not sell promotional placement. Position is a function of publication time alone, newest first. The navigation also lists Featured Boxes, New Boxes, Best Sellers, Shuffle, Current Discounts, Contests, Collections, Clubs, Models and Photographers, and a Best Sellers page shows trending content for the last 24 hours. The pages do not explain how those sections relate to the newest-first rule in the terms.

Pricing guidance comes from the site's own analytics. As of October 2026 the price guide says photo Boxes "sell well when they are between $5 and $10" and puts video somewhat higher. The guide also says it is better to sell a cheap Box many times than an expensive Box once, and recommends a mix of Boxes at different prices.

BentBox also runs an Art Wall, a public wall of single images from verified creators. Everything on it is shown, not sold. Each image is credited and links back to the creator's profile. Posting is limited to ID-verified creators, phone photos are welcome, and the wall is ordered newest first with no algorithm and no paid placement. Posting needs no release form, but the poster certifies the image is their own work, everyone in it is 18 or over, and they agreed to it being shown. Anyone pictured can have an image removed, and a report option reads "This is me and I didn't agree to it".

The creator menus also list a referral program, an affiliates program, a commission plan, time boxes, collections of Boxes, Pro Tools and payment with BentBucks and gift cards, and a banner promotes AI chats called BentPlay. The terms add automatic revenue sharing: an uploader can set splits with collaborators such as models and photographers, and BentBox then distributes earnings "according to the specified percentages".

Money and rules

The payout model is commission-added: the seller keeps the full listed price, and BentBox adds its own commission on top, paid by the buyer and never deducted from the seller. In October 2026 the selling page words the claim as "You keep 100% of your listed price" and gives the commission as "a minimum of $3 for files under 100 MB, or $5 for files 100 MB and above". The terms call this a "commission-added model".

Payout schedule and threshold. The terms say "Payouts are issued monthly upon request", processed within the first 7 business days of each month for earnings from the month before, with requests sent by email. The terms as read in October 2026 add: "Uploaders are paid once they receive a minimum payment threshold of $100 USD." To be paid, a creator needs that balance, a completed verification, valid payment details, compliance with tax reporting where she lives and no outstanding violations. One rule matters before signing up: uploaders who close their account before reaching the threshold "will forfeit the account's balance to offset infrastructure costs."

Methods. The terms list bank transfer ("international supported"), gift cards from major retailers, Yoursafe, Paxum ("Trusted e-wallet service for content creators") and PayPal, the last "Available in select regions where supported". The selling page lists the same methods and says the seller picks in account settings, while the company page names bank transfer or Amazon Gift Cards.

Chargebacks and holds. A chargeback or refund is deducted from the creator's balance, and BentBox may hold funds or delay payouts for suspected fraud or an unusually high chargeback rate. It may also withhold payouts during an investigation, while disputes are pending or until verification documents arrive. The creator is responsible for her own taxes and agrees to provide tax documentation on request.

Anti-money-laundering. Payments go only to accounts whose owner's name is a unique match with the bank account submitted. A PayOut form goes to the accounts department, which confirms the balance, checks there are no holds, and approves the payment pending compliance approval, paying via the same method of deposit to the account holder on file.

Verification and releases. Opening a seller account requires a valid government-issued photo ID showing full name and date of birth, plus a photo of the seller holding the ID next to her face. Every person appearing in content must be age- and identity-verified through ProntoID as 18 or older on the date it was produced, and BentBox compares their likeness with the ID photo. A model release must cover the specific session; a creator who is the only person in her content needs no separate release. The site lists "Full 2257 compliance", the seller keeps full copyright, buyers pay for access, not ownership, and every Box is reviewed by a real person before it goes live.

Prohibited content. The FAQ says content involving anyone under 18, non-consensual material or anything illegal is "strictly prohibited and grounds for permanent ban". The terms add "revenge" content, human trafficking (with forfeiture of all funds), arrangements where a creator lacks direct access to her earnings, and forbidden words in titles and tags, and point to full Forbidden Content Standards. BentBox also keeps editorial discretion to decline work that is crude or out of keeping with its look.

Who it suits and who it does not

BentBox fits a creator who wants to sell finished packages at a price they set, keep the whole price, and get paid on a monthly rhythm. It suits someone with their own audience, since the public page is built to be shared, and someone who wants to hold copyright. The payout menu, with Paxum, Yoursafe and gift cards beside international bank transfer and region-limited PayPal, gives creators outside card-friendly banking some options.

There are caveats. The site does not rank or promote content by popularity, so a new creator with no traffic should not count on the marketplace to supply buyers. Its commission floor is charged to the buyer, which makes very cheap Boxes less attractive for the buyer. The payout threshold means slow sellers wait, and closing an account below it forfeits the balance. Human review of every Box and mandatory ID checks add steps before the first sale, and the site's claim of going from signup to first sale in under an hour is its own. Anonymous selling is not possible, since ID and a holding-ID photo are required.
