What Knickery is

Knickery is a marketplace for worn underwear and related items where each seller runs a shop of their own and pays the site a subscription instead of a commission. Its About page describes the operator as "a team from the heart of Austria", and the terms put the contract under Austrian law, with Vienna as the place of jurisdiction and German as the contract language, while the site itself reads in English. Sellers pay to list and buyers use the site free. The shop menu sorts listings into slips, strings and tangas, bras, lingerie, socks and straps, heels, shoes, bikinis and sextoys. The terms are plain about the site's role: Knickery "only provides the PLATFORM on a technical level", is "neither a contractual partner of the SELLER nor of the END CUSTOMER" in a sale, and ties its own revenue to the seller's placement on the platform. Every sale, from the price to the payment to the postage, is settled between the seller and the buyer.

How earning works

A seller registers through the "Sell now" button, choosing an email address, a password and a shop name, and picks a subscription pack on the same form. The seller guide recommends a fictional email address that contains no part of the seller's name. From the dashboard the seller opens "Products", then "Add new product", places a main image that is shown first and further images below it, and writes a description of the product and of the person selling it. The terms ask for pictures as JPG or PNG files and make the seller responsible for having the agreement of anyone photographed.

Buyers do not check out through a cart. Every product page carries a "Contact seller" area, and a buyer's request arrives in the seller's own email inbox. The FAQ also tells sellers to put a contact email address in the product description. The home page tells buyers that once the seller has answered, the two "work out all the details individually". So the seller quotes the price, agrees how to be paid and ships the parcel. The terms say the same thing from the legal side: "The delivery and billing of the goods is the sole responsibility of the SELLER."

Pricing is the seller's call. The FAQ says "You basically determine the price all by yourself", and the seller guide gives recommended price ranges for slips and panties, socks, stockings and shoes as orientation. In October 2026 those ranges ran from 20 € at the low end for socks to 100 € at the top for shoes. The guide adds that sellers should keep the purchase price of an item in mind, and that an item worn for longer can carry a higher price.

The guide's practical advice is short. Better pictures mean better sales, and it asks for erotic images but not pornographic ones, with the note "FSK 18". Items should be sent airtight, for example in zip bags. The FAQ links to a further set of tips on increasing sales, and support answers by email.

Anonymity is the site's main promise, and the About page calls it "our number one priority". The FAQ's advice is concrete. A seller should use an anonymous email address, built on the shop name or a made-up name. The PayPal or credit card payment address used for the subscription "is only visible to us and does not appear anywhere". For shipping, the easiest way is to leave the return address off the parcel, and where one is needed the seller may use Knickery's company address as the sender address. Buyers get a matching assurance: the data they give stays with the site and "nothing is passed on".

Discovery is simple. The terms state the one ranking rule: "Most recent advertisements are displayed at the top." Buyers otherwise browse the shop by category or use the search box, and the home page shows a row of top products. A seller who lists regularly therefore stays near the top. The two larger plans add "Store optimization" and prioritized support, and no other paid placement is described.

The site makes earnings claims about its sellers. The FAQ publishes an average number of items sold and an average side income for its active sellers, marked "March 2023", and says many sellers get well above it. The home page adds a member's testimonial and its own percentages of sellers above certain monthly amounts. These are the site's marketing figures about existing active sellers, and the FAQ itself says that what a seller earns "is up to you".

Knickery is a worn-items marketplace only. Sextoys sit among the shop categories next to underwear, hosiery and shoes, and the pages describe no video, chat, custom-content or affiliate feature.

Money and rules

Knickery charges a flat subscription and no commission, and the buyer pays the seller directly, since the terms say Knickery is not an intermediary in the sale. In October 2026 the FAQ states: "With us you pay no commissions! All the money you earn is 100% yours." The pricing page read in the same month lists three seller plans. Starter costs 6,99€ per month and allows up to 3 products a month, with personal support and an own shop. Enterprise is a higher monthly plan with unlimited products, prioritized support and store optimization. Unlimited is a single payment of 34,99€ with the Enterprise features and, in the page's words, "membership forever". The pricing page promises "Cancelable at any time & no commitment", and the FAQ explains the fee as paying for visitor numbers, technical maintenance and support.

The terms give the billing mechanics. The monthly fee is debited automatically on the day of the month on which the contract was concluded, and it is paid in advance. On cancellation there is no proportional repayment, though collection stops immediately. If the seller's account lacks the money on that day, use of the platform is blocked "without warning" until the next payment arrives. The contract runs for an indefinite period and can be ended at any time without notice. Knickery may adjust its prices to the consumer price index once a year. Prices are in euros and, "In case of doubt, the sales tax is not included." The payment methods accepted for the fee "are listed in the webshop", and the FAQ mentions PayPal and credit card. A seller who is a consumer has a right of withdrawal for fourteen days from the conclusion of the contract, with repayment by the same means of payment.

The rules for sellers sit in the same terms. A seller must observe the law when uploading, copyright and data protection in particular. Knickery may refuse or remove an advertisement when illegal activity becomes obvious, and may block a seller who acts against the contract despite a reminder or is reasonably suspected of misuse, telling the seller the reasons. It states that it is under no obligation to monitor what sellers publish, and that the seller alone answers for the legality of the content. Its liability toward a seller is capped at twelve times the monthly fee, or at the one-time fee on the Unlimited plan, and the fee stays due during outages beyond its control. Changes to the terms are sent by email, and a business seller who does not object within 21 days is taken to agree. Knickery offers to settle disputes before an independent mediator. The site does not publish an age requirement for sellers or a list of prohibited items.

Who it suits and who it does not

Knickery suits a seller who wants a shop of their own with fixed, published costs and no share taken from sales. The Starter plan is a low-cost way to test it, and the one-time plan removes recurring billing for a seller who expects to stay. A seller who wants to keep their identity separate will find the anonymity advice concrete: a made-up email address, a shop name, no return address on parcels, and a payment address shown to nobody.

The caveats are about running costs and effort. The subscription is charged whether or not anything sells, there is no pro-rata refund when a plan is canceled, and the Starter plan limits how many products a seller can post each month. The site only connects the two sides, so the seller handles payment, shipping, every buyer conversation and any dispute alone, and the terms say Knickery is not liable for a failure between seller and buyer. Listings rank newest first, so a shop needs regular new listings or the seller's own outside audience to stay visible. The contract language is German, and all prices are in euros.
