What She Bop is
She Bop is a sex toy boutique with Portland shops in North Portland and on SE Division and an online store, and it runs an application-based affiliate program for content creators and educators. The program page says affiliates earn a commission on every sale generated through their unique affiliate link, paid monthly by PayPal, and that the program "aims to build a network of partners who share our commitment to sex positivity". There is no joining step beyond an application form. This is a retail affiliate route for educators, bloggers, video makers and newsletter writers whose audience wants toys, books and sex education, not a platform where an earner sells content of their own.
How earning works here
The program page lays the path out as written procedures. An applicant completes the affiliate application form, which asks for basic information, social channels and a brief description of how the applicant's content aligns with She Bop. The affiliate management team reviews applications on the quality of content, alignment with brand values and potential reach, and the page says this "may take up to 7 business days". Approved applicants receive an email with their unique affiliate link and access to the affiliate dashboard, where digital assets such as the shop's logo are kept.
Tracking is done with a code. The page states that "your unique code must be added to the end of every URL linking to She Bop", and that this "tracks sales leading to your commissions". The dashboard includes a link generator into which an affiliate plugs a She Bop link to get a tracked one. Commission sales show under a Transactions tab, with more detail under an Analytics tab, and logos and graphics sit in a folder under the Marketing Tools tab. For special campaigns and sales, separate graphics arrive by email.
The page names the channels it expects affiliates to use. Affiliates are encouraged to share their links on social media, can write blog posts and articles or make video content that includes the link, and may put the link in email newsletters as long as the content complies with email marketing regulations and the brand's values. Support comes from an Affiliate Manager, whom affiliates can contact with questions, support requests or clarifications, and the page promises regular updates about new products, promotions and best practices.
Eligibility is about fit more than reach. The program page lists its eligibility requirements. Under "Alignment with Brand Values", affiliates must demonstrate a commitment to inclusivity, exploration, community, enjoyment, education and sexual agency, including content that respects gender identities, sexual orientations, race, religions and cultural backgrounds. "Content Quality" asks for high-quality, informative and engaging content that reflects the shop's mission. "Compliance with Guidelines" requires all affiliate content to follow the shop's content guidelines.
Those values come from the shop's about page. It says She Bop was founded in 2009 as an adult boutique specializing in non-toxic body-safe toys, exceptional books and quality sensuality products, and that it is "more than a toy store", committed to sexual education and conscious business practices. It lists 5 values, among them "Exploration & Enjoyment", "Community", "Inclusivity" and "Education", states "She Bop is female-friendly, not female-only", and says "We fight for equity in the adult industry." For a publisher the practical meaning is that content has to be written in that voice, so a bland product roundup is a weak fit and an informed guide on pleasure, bodies or relationships is a strong one.
What a referred visitor finds after clicking matters for conversion, and the pages show a good deal of it:
- The home page features toys from brands such as Love to Love, Romp and Dame, plus lubricant guides and a sex toy cleaning guide, and the shop menu covers vibrators, dildos, anal play, harnesses, gender expression gear such as binders and packers, BDSM, books and safer sex supplies.
- A books and guides section carries titles in sections including General, Oral Sex, Relationships, Pregnancy and Parenting, Sex and Aging, Orgasms and Masturbation, G-Spot and Ejaculation, Anal Play, and Sex Toys and Porn, with a filter reading 231 Products. Topics named on the page include BDSM and rope bondage, polyamory, queer sexuality, intimacy and communication, consent and boundaries, and disability and sex. A separate LGBTQ guides page lists books on trans bodies, gender and partner transitions.
- A Queer Creators collection features locally made goods, among them Switch Leather collars, harnesses, cuffs and a leash, enamel pins, and Sea Grape massage oil, candles, lube and kits.
- An offers collection shows discounted items from named brands such as LELO, Tenga, Spareparts, Tantus and California Exotics.
- A banner offers free shipping with the code FREESHIP on larger domestic orders.
She Bop also runs classes and events, which gives an educator affiliate something beyond products to link. The about page says it brings in speakers from around the country and points to an events calendar, and the education menu lists tutorials, class recordings and an educator roster. Class topics named there include communication, non-monogamy, BDSM and rope bondage, taught by in-house educators and local sexuality instructors. Its locations also take after-hours private party reservations from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. for a flat fee, with a limit of 16 attendees and a host who gives an introduction to the products. Those are shop services, not part of the commission program. The about page also describes the shop's community side: it says it carries many handmade and locally sourced products, partners with Portland's feminist and LGBTQ+ organizations, low-cost health clinics and college campuses, and gives financial support through a program it calls We Give Back. It adds that anyone over 18 is welcome in the store.
Money and rules
The payout model is a flat percentage of every sale made through the affiliate's unique link. Payment is by PayPal, with payment details entered in the affiliate dashboard, and the schedule is fixed in the procedures: "Commissions will be paid out the first Wednesday of every month." A balance under the payout minimum rolls over to the next month. Approval takes up to 7 business days.
As of October 2026 the program page sets the commission rate at 15% and the minimum payout threshold at $50.
The content guidelines are specific. Content must be factually accurate and give responsible, respectful information about the products; it should cover topics relevant to all genders, sexual orientations and cultural backgrounds; the tone should be "educational, playful, and supportive" and must avoid discriminatory language or offensive material. Affiliates may use the approved logos, banners and promotional materials, and any other use of the branding needs pre-approval. Affiliates must clearly disclose their relationship with the brand, "as required by law". The page also expects affiliates "to speak positively about She Bop in all forms of communication", which a reviewer who wants to publish critical takes should weigh.
Non-compliance brings a warning, and repeated violations may end in termination. The shop reserves the right to terminate for non-compliance, inactivity or behavior that contradicts its values. Affiliates can leave at any time by notifying the affiliate team, must stop using the branding on termination, and commissions earned before termination are paid on the usual schedule. The program page does not state a cookie or attribution window.
Who it suits
The program fits sex educators, queer and trans writers, and lifestyle bloggers whose existing work already matches the values the shop publishes. A publisher who writes long-form guides on consent, communication, bodies or kink can place products inside genuine advice, and the shop's books, guides, classes and local-maker collections give plenty to link to. PayPal payouts with a low minimum and a rollover suit a smaller publisher whose sales build slowly, since nothing is lost in a quiet month.
It is a weaker fit for a publisher whose tone does not match the sex-positive, inclusive brief, since approval rests on brand alignment, content quality and reach. A reviewer who values full editorial freedom should note the positive-representation expectation and the termination clause for behavior that contradicts the shop's values. Anyone who needs fast onboarding should allow up to 7 business days for review, and an affiliate without PayPal has no other payout route named on the page.
