What Modelcam is

Modelcam is a video model studio in the center of Szczecin. It employs adult women as video models who work on camera from the studio, and it also hires chat operators who handle the written side of the chat and need good German and English. The site is written in Polish. The studio says it has more than 12 years of experience, calls itself the most prestigious and friendly video model studio in Szczecin, and offers legal employment with a contract and health insurance.

The studio says it works on the international market for internet services, that its clients are distributors of themed services from Germany and the USA, and that calls with its models are not offered to viewers in the models' home market. It says its training is free and adds that many other studios charge for it. It also claims that its contracts with foreign partners and its professional methods put it at the front of the industry for organization and profitability, which is its own claim.

How earning works here

The job is live video conferencing through a webcam. The studio says callers pay for connection time, and that the conversations often take the form of online flirting. It describes the work as a conversation like any ordinary video chat, except that the model is paid for it: she tries to look attractive, alluring or classy on camera, builds enough contact that the client wants to keep talking as long as possible (the longer the call, the more she earns) and wants to come back to her. The model invents her own fictional persona for the chat. The studio says she can be whoever she wants and that what the client learns about her depends only on her.

The studio frames the role as actress and model in one, and says looks and clothes on camera matter. It adds that with time a model gains the experience to judge what her callers expect and to talk with them in a way that brings her the most fun and money, and that a well chosen wardrobe, careful makeup and a smile help earnings.

The workday has a set structure. The studio works in 3 shifts with all 7 days of the week to choose from, and a model gives her availability every week and can change it to fit her plans. Hours are flexible, and the FAQ says afternoon or night shifts work well for women who study, hold another job or are bringing up a family. The studio says it makes no difficulty about days off or leave, and compares the arrangement to working for herself in the company of colleagues.

The studio supplies everything needed for work, so a model brings nothing: top-class equipment, the fastest available internet line and an office in central Szczecin that is easy to reach. Training is organized for beginners, and an operator or translator is assigned to show the model everything she needs to earn and to be at her disposal on every shift, so language help is always on hand. Work from home is not offered at present, which the site states directly.

The list of what the studio provides is long: a no-obligation trial period, which it also calls fully paid, legal employment under contract, health insurance, insight into what it calls master statistics, clear terms, a regularly paid salary and immediate advances. On top come a free photo session, monthly prizes and recognitions, and team integration events. The statistics mean a model can check what she has earned at any moment, and the studio says she always gets information on her earnings and a review of her work aimed at raising her income.

The studio names 3 priorities: reliability, financial transparency and the atmosphere at work. It invites applicants to visit and ask its models about the prizes, awards and events rather than take the studio's word for it.

The second job is chat operator. The studio asks for good German and English and a creative, cheerful and conflict-free person, and says it offers a permanent and very well paid position as a moderator or chat operator, paid even during the breaks the worker is entitled to. The site gives no rate for that role.

Applying is done through a form on the site, where an applicant can attach a photo, a selfie included, to strengthen the application. The studio says it will get in touch with everyone who writes.

Money and rules

The studio states that its models earn roughly 4,200 zl to 14,500 zl "na rękę" (take-home) per month, and that earnings depend only on the model: on how much time and commitment she gives the work and how well she builds relationships with clients. It publishes a table of monthly payouts for 4 of its models, of 13,833 zl, 10,472 zl, 6,141 zl and 4,862 zl, each split across 10 chat services labeled Chat 1 to Chat 10 and set against a count of days worked. The chat services are not named. These are the studio's own examples.

The studio also says that some models who meant to treat the studio as a side job gave up their main work, because instead of a 3606 zl paycheck, for example in a shopping mall, they earn 3 or 4 times as much. It adds that this is not just another advertising trick and invites visitors to ask the models themselves. Both claims are the studio's.

Payment terms are stated as "Wypłatę otrzymujesz zawsze w całości i bez opóźnień 14stego każdego miesiąca": the payout arrives in full and without delay on the 14th of each month. Advances can be taken whenever the model wants. The site does not publish a commission percentage.

The rules the pages state are these:

  • The studio looks for adult, cheerful women, with no need for experience or a typical model's looks. It says a model can have an average look or be plump and still earn more than colleagues.
  • Personal data is used only to verify the model's age and sign the contract, the FAQ says, and nobody else has access to it.
  • The FAQ says the models are blocked for Poland, so only clients from abroad can see them, and a block on any other country can be arranged on request.
  • The model is not required to undress. The FAQ says the work is only flirting with clients, and how she does it is up to her.
  • The contract is real and the studio pays the model's taxes.

Who it suits and who it does not

Modelcam suits a woman in or near Szczecin who wants an employment contract, health insurance, a fixed monthly payday and an on-site workplace more than she wants to run her own cam page. The setup, with equipment, training and an operator on every shift, suits someone starting from nothing who wants to be shown everything. A model who wants to see her numbers will like the live statistics and the regular review of her work.

German and English speakers who would rather work in the chat than on camera have a second route in the operator role.

The limits are clear. The studio does not offer work from home, so a model must attend in Szczecin. The site is in Polish, and the earnings range is the studio's own claim, illustrated by 4 anonymous cases rather than tied to a published share of what viewers pay. A model who wants to work independently with her own audience will not find that offer here.
