What it is
Amateurs Fun Studio calls itself an amateur porn star recruitment company, filming in central London and Surrey studios, and says it was established in 2013. It pays performers to appear in amateur adult films, using an all-female camera crew. By its own account the films are distributed through cable TV in hotel rooms around the world on a pay-per-view basis and are not made for the Internet. It recruits performers over 21 from all over the UK, says no experience is necessary, and charges no arrangement or signing-on fee.
How earning works
The earning model is studio work paid by the hour of filming, plus royalty payments when a film is watched in a hotel.
A typical movie takes about 4 hours to film. Performers come to one of the studios in London or Surrey; the site says people travel from all over the UK for a day's filming. The all-female camera crew is a deliberate choice: the site explains "professional porn stars do not get embarrassed when making a porn movie as they are used to it. However if you are doing it for the first time, some people, especially men, can be put off if there are other men around. By using an all female camera crew we find that amateurs that have never done this before are much more comfortable being filmed."
The studio produces many film types. Its FAQ lists straight, gay, lesbian, bondage, group, interracial, role-play, trans and fetish movies, and says "You get to choose exactly what sort of role you would be comfortable performing in." The FAQ describes 2 studios with different areas that can be set up for different scenarios, a dungeon room among them, plus refreshments, changing facilities and showers.
Performers can film one to one or in groups, and the home page says the choice is entirely theirs. Couples can film together with just the 2 of them if both are selected.
The studio also runs a "(paid) Voyeur Service" where a visitor can "see a film being made, staring amateurs just like yourself". The site presents it as a way to see what happens on a film set, or to check the studio out, before applying.
After filming, "you get a copy of your film on DVD to keep forever". The site says that "having your own copy of a film you have starred in is a great way to introduce yourself to new producers", and that "some of our amateur porn stars have even made the leap into the main stream porn industry". It adds that major porn producers have been calling the studio for recommendations about people it has filmed. Those are the studio's own claims, and the pages offer no figures behind them.
The site also says it has just acquired an additional new contract with a major hotel chain and is "currently desperate for new performers", and separately that it is hiring female videographers for its London studios, with a CV sent in for details.
Applying commits a performer to nothing. The FAQ says filling in the form "is just the first step", that the studio replies with more detail on how it operates, and that an application can be canceled at any stage; a selected applicant is invited to visit a studio, see the equipment and meet some of the crew first. Repeat work is the performer's choice too. The site states "you can choose to do this as often as you like. Some of our porn stars like the experience so much they come back to us on numerous occasions to do more filming."
The studio operates year-round: "we film every week of the year and we are on a constant hunt for new people to join us."
Money and rules
Pay is an hourly rate for filming, set by performer type, with a royalty on top. In October 2026 the home page and the FAQ list females at £480 per hour, and males and gay shoots at £240 per hour, for a typical shoot of about 4 hours.
In addition to hourly pay, performers receive "royalty payments every time your video is watched in any hotel worldwide." The site says this "can add up to a lot of money over the years", which is its own claim. The site does not publish the royalty rate.
Performers must be over 21 years old. The FAQ says "we need men and women over 21 years old that are into porn and looking for porn star jobs."
There are no fees to join, audition, or film. The site directly addresses this: "Do I have to pay to star in one of your movies..? No, we pay you. This is just like any other job. You work for us and we pay you to do so. There are no arrangement fees or signing on fees or anything like that."
There is no studio outside London and Surrey: asked about studios near a performer who lives far away, the FAQ says "we only have our London and Surrey studios", and notes that people come "from all over the UK for a days filming".
Content is not available on the internet. All films are sold exclusively through cable TV providers in hotel rooms worldwide on a pay-per-view basis. The site states "none of the porn movies we make are available on the Internet or available to buy in any shops or other outlets. We work for a major hotel movie distribution company that supplies movies of all sorts which are only viewable in hotel rooms, via cable TV, in different hotels around the world. So you don’t have to worry about being seen on the Internet as our films are only available on a pay per view basis."
For performers concerned about anonymity, masks or disguises are available for some productions: "In some of our movies you may get to wear a mask or disguise if you really do not want to show your face." The site notes masks are "acceptable but most of our films do not use masks. So you can still apply if you want to wear a mask but you may have to wait a bit longer for an opportunity to film with us."
The studio hires across orientations and body types: its FAQ lists straight and gay performers, trans performers (which it writes as TV and TS), lesbians and couples. It adds "You do not have to be exceptionally good looking or in shape. In fact all our movies are based on amateur porn so the more normal you look the better." The home page says it is especially interested in men and women of different races, because interracial movies are always in big demand. The stated appeal is ordinariness rather than professional polish.
Response time to applications is stated as variable: "we film every day on new projects so we are constantly needing new applicants. If we feel you have what we are looking for in a project starting soon we will get back to you straight away. But don't worry if you do not hear back from us immediately as your details will be constantly checked against future films we intend making and if applicable we will contact you then, so it could be a few days, weeks or months but we will eventually contact you if you are suitable."
Who it suits and who it doesn't
This suits a UK-based adult over 21 who can reach London or Surrey for a day and wants paid on-camera work with no audience or following of their own. The all-female crew is explicitly meant to put first-timers at ease, especially men who might be put off by other men around. The stated look is ordinary rather than polished ("the more normal you look the better"), so it is open to performers of many body types. The casting line covers straight and gay performers, trans performers, lesbians and couples.
The distribution model is the other draw for anyone wary of content living on the open Internet. The site says none of its films are on the Internet or in shops, and that a performer may get to wear a mask or disguise in some of them. Hotel pay-per-view is a different channel from a tube site or a fan subscription platform.
The limits are plain. The hourly rates are published in pounds, and the rate for men is lower than the rate for women. Royalties come without a stated rate, and the site does not say how or when payment is made. Replies can take "a few days, weeks or months", so it is poor for anyone who needs money fast. Studios exist only in London and Surrey. A performer who insists on a mask may wait longer for an opportunity, since most films do not use masks. And a performer outside the UK has no stated route in: the site recruits "from all over the UK".
