What it is
Dolls Down Under is an Australian adult production studio. It films episodes and extras that members watch on its own site, and it runs an open casting page for new performers. The footer lists a South Toowoomba, Queensland address, and the About page says it is proud to support Australian creators by offering a professional, safe and collaborative environment. Applicants must be 18 or older, hold a valid government ID and have the right to work in Australia. The site does not publish what a performer is paid; what it does publish is the casting route and its rules.
How earning works here
This is a studio route, not a platform. The performer applies, the studio selects, and a performer who is chosen is cast in a scene the studio produces and publishes on its own site, which has Episodes, Models and Extras sections plus a member login and a Join Now button. Viewers pay to join that site, and the performer works on the studio's production rather than selling to fans directly.
What the casting page does offer is a list of working conditions. Under "Want to Join the Cast?" the casting page lists a professional production environment, flexible scheduling, a safe and respectful workplace, professional photography included, flexible content agreements, an award-winning production team, secure private filming locations and "Industry-standard contracts". The casting page explains the last of these: the studio offers flexible content agreements about distribution and marketing, which it can tailor during the planning stage to meet a performer's comfort level. It says all shoots take place in secure, private locations and that personal information is kept strictly confidential. It also says that if you are ready to work with an experienced team "and build your exposure", you should complete the application.
The FAQ sets out the shoot itself. A single shoot usually runs 2 to 3 hours, and a full day capturing several looks or scenes is typically 6 to 8 hours with breaks and touch-ups. Performers may bring outfits, lingerie and personal items, and wardrobe can be discussed at the shoot-planning stage. During application and planning the studio says it discusses the styles, themes and boundaries a performer is comfortable with. The studio says it typically responds to all applications within 3-5 business days, and that a selected applicant is offered a video call to talk through opportunities and expectations before moving forward. Newcomers are accepted. The FAQ answers "Do you accept newcomers?" with "Absolutely", and says it welcomes both experienced performers and newcomers, with clear guidance, support and a warm, professional environment. The studio also says it receives many casting applications, so an applicant should give a clear sense of who they are. Above all it says it values people who are "real, confident, and excited to create great content".
The application form asks for a name, an email address, a gender identity (the menu lists female, male, non-binary, transgender, genderfluid, agender and other), a preferred stage age, where the applicant is based, an Instagram and a Twitter handle, a primary portfolio or sample link and a text box about the applicant. It says to provide at least one social or portfolio reference. It also has optional fields for an OnlyFans free trial link and a Fansly profile URL, so an applicant who already sells on a fan platform can show it.
The studio's own site gives a view of what happens after a performer is cast. Each performer has a profile page under Models, and the profile links out to the performer's own Instagram, OnlyFans and website. Logged-in members can leave a message for the performer. Episodes carry the performers' names, so being cast puts the performer into a public catalog. The home page says the site is in "launch mode", that updates may be less consistent for a short while, and that it is building something bigger. It describes its content as HD videos and photo galleries updated weekly, which is a marketing claim.
The team is described by role. A photographer and cinematographer is called one of Australia's most respected adult photographers and cinematographers. A video and content producer has a background in storytelling and content creation. A developer oversees the web platform and business management. The studio says every scene is crafted with care, professionalism and an eye for storytelling, and its stated focus is "world-class production, authentic chemistry, and unforgettable content", all made in Australia.
Money and rules
The site does not publish a pay rate, payment method or payment date for performers.
The rules the casting page does state:
- Legal requirements: 18 or older, a valid government ID and the right to work in Australia. ID verification is required if selected. The form has a checkbox confirming the applicant is over 18 and understands that submitting does not guarantee acceptance.
- The casting page says "We require recent health certificates" under health and safety, which it calls top priorities, and adds strict hygiene protocols on set. It also lists reliable transportation, a professional attitude and punctuality among its requirements.
- Content agreements are flexible on distribution and marketing and are tailored during planning.
- The footer states that all performers appearing on the website are 18 years or older.
The studio also publishes an Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy, last updated June 18, 2025. It is issued in the name of Snappy-Sites and says it strictly prohibits modern slavery and human trafficking in its operations and productions. It says the studio expects its producers and partners to hold their own staff and contractors to the same standards, and that it may require producers to comply with a Code of Conduct. It is a policy statement, not a contract term.
The home page lists awards the studio claims: Best Website, Best Film Production Company and Best Video Editor in 2025, and Best Web Developer in 2025 and 2024, and Best Photographer and Best Video Editor in 2024. It also lists features on Aus Adult News and Adult Site Broker Talk. These are the site's own claims, and none says anything about performer pay.
Who it suits and who it does not
This suits an adult performer with the right to work in Australia who wants to appear in a polished studio production and build visibility more than to negotiate a rate up front. The flexible content agreements, the confidentiality statement and the health and safety language are aimed at a performer who cares about control over where footage goes. Newcomers are explicitly welcome, and a performer who already runs OnlyFans or Fansly can add the link to the application.
It is a poor fit for anyone who needs to know the money before committing, because no rate is published; the video call after selection is the stated point to raise it. The right-to-work requirement rules out a performer who cannot legally work in Australia. Selection is competitive by the studio's own account, with many applications and no promise of acceptance, though it says it typically replies within 3-5 business days. Anyone who wants to sell directly to fans and keep the revenue will find this site is a studio that sells to its own members.
