What Adnium is

Adnium is an adult ad network that sells inventory on a CPM basis. Advertisers, meaning affiliates, media buyers and brands promoting an adult or dating offer, buy impressions by ad zone, and publishers with adult sites sell them. An earner without a site uses it through the advertiser account: sign up, pick the traffic, set targeting and prepay a campaign budget. The terms name the operator as Braanch Interactive Inc., doing business as Adnium, an Ontario corporation, and the home page says the network has been in business for more than 10 years. Participants must be at least 18 years old and of the age of majority where they live, and the terms say Adnium may ask for proof of identification before or during participation. The publisher side is one sentence here: site owners place Adnium ad zones and can restrict the content that runs on their pages.

How buying works here

CPM and viewable impressions. The home page makes billing the central pitch. It says CPM, cost per thousand ads, is how it measures the value of advertising on a site, and that advertisers "are guaranteed to pay only for ads that are viewed". In its words the count is based on viewable impressions only, so an ad has to be displayed to the end user to count, and the page calls the days of paying for blind impressions over. A buyer coming from click-priced networks should read that as a different cost model: the unit is a thousand viewed impressions, and the return depends on how well the creative and offer convert on that traffic. The terms add that charges are based solely on the measurements of Adnium's own ad serving platform unless otherwise agreed in writing, and that UTC is the time used for traffic and tracking.

Two kinds of adult traffic. The most useful page for an adult buyer is a help article on member's area traffic versus regular traffic. It defines two sources. Member's area traffic comes from online platforms that require users to sign up and pay to use them, which the article calls "a segment proven to out perform tube sources considerably", and ad zones carrying it have MA in their name. Its examples are paid dating and adult dating platforms. Regular adult traffic, also called non-member's area traffic, comes from sites that have free content open to the public, and the article's examples are free tube and picture sites. So the same network sells a paid-member audience and a free-content audience, labeled in the zone name, and a buyer can split tests by source type. The article is dated July 2020.

Ad types. The terms define advertising material as text, graphics and designs for any type of advertising, including banners, text ads, pop-ups and pop-unders. The home page talks about ad zones and banners, and the API description mentions uploading banners, so display is the core product and pops are covered by the contract.

Targeting and optimization. The home page lists real-time statistics, advanced targeting options, CPM-based billing and advanced campaign optimization as the dashboard's core. It describes reaching the demographic you want with metrics visible at all times, and advertises more than 220K ad targeting points, which is the network's own count. It also promises a fully transparent view of where advertising money is spent. The terms note that publishers can add particular advertising rules in the dashboard for their own sites, and an advertiser's material has to respect them.

Programmatic and API. Adnium describes itself as OpenRTB ready, meaning a buyer can purchase and manage traffic from tens of thousands of publishers in one place. It also offers API access, with an API documentation link in the footer, so an operator who wants to create campaigns or upload banners by script can do so. For a media buyer running many campaigns this is the feature that separates a hands-on panel from a pure web form.

Direct and fixed deals. The help center has a collection of articles about direct and fixed deals, next to collections for advertisers, publishers, finance, video tutorials and tips. It exists as a separate path from the open CPM marketplace. The terms also mention insertion orders, a written authorization to display an advertisement on a publisher's sites.

Support. The home page promises support around the clock and an average response time of less than 2 hours for customer enquiries. The help center gives an email address, a YouTube channel with video tutorials and interactive training material.

What the network says about itself. The site claims 100M+ conversions, 20K+ clients, 1B+ daily impressions and 220K+ ad targeting points, and says it sells premium traffic optimized to increase campaign effectiveness. These are the network's own marketing numbers.

Money and rules

The durable money rule for a buyer is prepayment. The terms say the advertiser shall prepay its advertising budget and pay all charges in U.S. dollars, or in another currency if agreed in writing. Charges exclude taxes, and Canadian sales taxes may apply to an advertiser with a Canadian address. Credit card details given to Adnium may be shared with its payment processors, which shows cards are a way to pay. The network does not publish a price list, a minimum deposit or a CPM floor on its public pages.

The refund policy is specific. No refunds are made for delivered ad impressions. After an initial deposit, an advertiser who is not satisfied and is in compliance with the agreement may request a withdrawal of the account balance, on condition that the balance reaches a minimum withdrawal amount agreed between the parties, and the terms say such withdrawals are completed within seven days. Advertisers canceled or terminated for violating the agreement or the acceptable use policy are not entitled to a refund, and Adnium does not under any circumstances issue refunds on credit cards. An advertiser also waives claims relating to charges, including claims about suspected invalid clicks, unless they are raised within 60 days after the charge.

On content, the advertiser states that none of its advertising contains paraphilia or scatological material or child sexual abuse material, offers illegal products or services, promotes or facilitates prostitution or sex trafficking, promotes drugs, makes unauthorized use of trademarks, or targets individuals under 18 years old. Gambling ads must be pre-approved and meet a minimum monthly budget requirement. An acceptable use policy forms part of the agreement.

The terms address the UK specifically. An update tied to the UK regulatory changes effective August 2025 has advertisers self-certify that their landing pages are either non-explicit or age-verification compliant if explicit and accessible from the UK, and suggests tagging ads as "Adult - Explicit" or "Adult - Suggestive" to control distribution. Publishers, for their part, may not serve explicit content to UK users without age verification in place. For an advertiser this means UK reach on explicit creatives is restricted.

Three contract terms deserve a read before funding. During the agreement and for one year after it ends, an advertiser may not do business directly with any publisher listed on the network or solicit one to deal directly. Adnium may terminate the agreement or cancel any ad at any time with or without cause, while an advertiser can end it by deactivating a campaign in the dashboard. And Adnium may use an advertiser's name and logo in presentations, customer lists and website listings. Ontario law governs, with arbitration administered by ICDR Canada.

Who it suits and who it does not

Adnium suits an affiliate or media buyer who wants adult inventory billed per viewed thousand, who values the split between paid-member and free-content traffic, and who might want API or OpenRTB access later. A dating or subscription-offer promoter is the clearest match, since the help article's own claim is that member's area traffic outperforms tube sources and its examples are dating platforms. A creator promoting a fan page can use it too, with the caveat that CPM display is a slower, awareness-style purchase than a click-priced format.

It suits less well a buyer who wants the cost known before registering, because rates and withdrawal minimums are set per account. A buyer who pays by card should weigh the rule that card deposits are never refunded to the card. Buyers whose main market is the UK should read the age-verification update before planning spend on explicit creatives. And an affiliate who likes to move a winning placement into a direct deal with the site should note the one-year no-soliciting clause.
