What PlugRush is

PlugRush is an advertising network with a self-serve platform for buying traffic, selling traffic and trading traffic. On the buying side, affiliates and media buyers create a campaign, pick a format and a target audience, and pay for visitors sent to an offer or a dating funnel. It handles adult and mainstream traffic, and its own blog describes it as an adult ad network that lets advertisers tap into a pool of adult traffic sources worldwide. Registration is open from the site, and the buy-traffic page says there are no contracts.

The home page describes programs for buying, selling and trading traffic. Buy Traffic is the easy, self-serve advertising platform. The other two programs, for monetizing an audience and for exchanging clicked traffic, are aimed at publishers.

How buying traffic works

Setting up a campaign is a short path. The blog guide to buying traffic says an advertiser logs in, opens the Create Campaign tab and chooses the campaign type, which can be popunders, banners, push ads or native ads. Next comes the audience, set by location, device type and user interests; the buy-traffic page lists browser, country, operating system, carrier and re-targeting among the targeting options. The ad formats page explains what each type does. A popunder launches a landing page in a new tab or window when a visitor clicks a valid element on a website, and PlugRush calls it the most common ad format. Display banners are the standard staple, described as non-intrusive and non-misleading. Native ads blend into a website's content, either as a block of native ads or as Real Native Ads inserted automatically into content areas. A push notification is described as an opt-in advertisement delivered directly to the phone or desktop of the end user, and the blog's FAQ also lists a blind format among the types on offer. The same FAQ says what the network is praised for: a user-friendly platform, short campaign approval times and real-time analytics.

The buy-traffic page lists what comes with a campaign:

  • Conversion tracking over a server-to-server postback URL, so conversion rates and ROI show in the campaign stats inside the PlugRush interface.
  • Rule-based optimization on a range of metrics, so the system acts on a campaign without hourly attention.
  • Behavioral targeting through re-targeting, for bringing high-value users back to a campaign.
  • Bot and scanner filtering, which the page says runs on the fly to keep campaigns safe.
  • Cost control, through individual daily budgets and user capping set at campaign level.

The conversion tracking mechanism deserves attention because adult campaigns live and die by it. The support section describes a postback API for advertisers: the advertiser sends conversion data back to PlugRush so that accurate conversions show in the campaign statistics, which in turn feeds manual optimization or the automated rules. Documentation sits inside the account, not on the public page. The guides section adds short training pieces on campaign optimization, pixel retargeting, win rate, and how to use automated rules.

A general API exists as well. The support page says API v2 is the current version and connects to a PlugRush account to start or stop campaigns, fetch statistics and handle other routine tasks. Version 1.0 is no longer updated and users are told to switch. Again, the documentation is available inside the account.

The blog is useful reading for affiliates choosing a vertical. It carries a guide to top dating affiliate programs, a dating monetization guide whose title argues that running dating offers is "forever", and a comparison of adult ad networks. The comparison explains what a good adult network should offer: banners, popunders, native and video formats, targeting by location, device and demographics, and in some cases a self-serve platform. Nothing in these pieces is a PlugRush payout or pricing term, so treat them as education for choosing a vertical and a network.

On the buying side of real-time bidding, the API page says PlugRush buys traffic programmatically through XML, JSON and OpenRTB for desktop and mobile pops, and through XML and JSON for push notification ads.

Money, payment and rules

Buying is self-serve and prepaid, with no contract. The blog's setup guide says a campaign carries a daily budget that controls daily spend and a total budget that caps the whole campaign, and that bidding is by CPM or CPC. After the bids come the ad creatives, a review of the settings and submission for approval. The same guide mentions A/B testing of creatives and messaging once a campaign is live. The FAQ on the blog says a campaign can be paused at any time to stop spending. As of October 2026 that FAQ gives the minimum daily budget as $5. The site does not publish a minimum deposit or a rate card.

The support center points to the places where the remaining rules live: guidelines that the page says are important to read "to stay compliant with our rules", a frequently asked questions page, a definitions page for the terms used in the platform, and a payment methods article about adding or withdrawing funds. On the publisher side the network names PayPal, Paxum and bank wire transfer as its payment rails.

Campaigns go through approval, and the blog presents short approval times as one of the network's selling points. The same blog says the network is known for security and compliance, which is its own description. Bots, scanners and other automated traffic are filtered automatically, according to the buy-traffic page. For support, the center offers contact on Skype, and as a last resort by mail or a visit to the company's office.

Who it suits

PlugRush suits a media buyer or affiliate who wants a mature self-serve panel for popunder, banner, native and push campaigns on adult traffic, with postback tracking and an API for scripts. The rule-based optimization and the re-targeting options make it workable for someone running several campaigns at once, and the low daily budget floor lets a small test stay small. A beginner can use it too, according to the network's own FAQ, which says the interface and support resources help newcomers.

It is less suited to a creator with no tracking in place, because the tools assume conversions are measured by the advertiser. A buyer who wants the adult creative guidelines before signing up will have to read them in the support center, since the public pages only point to them.
