What CamContacts is

CamContacts is a private video chat site, and its models are called chathosts. The recruiting page asks visitors to "become a CamContacts Chathost today!" and leads with the commission a host can reach. The site pays chathosts for paid one-on-one video sessions with viewers, and it takes studios as well as individual hosts. Its about page carries press items with a Los Angeles dateline and a news item dated 19 Nov 2025 says the company is celebrating its 25th birthday. Its own pages describe chat hosts from more than 170 countries.

The viewer side tells you what the product is. The home page offers "private one-on-one adult video chat rooms" and says "1000+ Live webcam girls" are on the site, with cams for couples and several other groups. The pages promise viewers discreet billing and describe a "proprietary video streaming platform accessible on any device". The about page adds that in 2015 the company launched Mobile Chathost, which lets performers start an online session from a phone or tablet with two-way video, audio and text chat. The sign-up is free for viewers, so a chathost works on a site that anyone can browse and text-chat on before paying.

How earning works

The money event on CamContacts is a paid video session. The FAQ says most video chat sessions with chathosts are paid, although some are free, and it says viewers "can negotiate the price for live video sessions directly with the Chathost". There is no charge for browsing the site or text chatting with the chathost, and viewers are only charged for paid video sessions and for topping up their Gift Box. So the host sets or agrees the price session by session, and the free text chat is where that conversation happens. Billing is per minute: the FAQ says a viewer sees a notice with the price per minute before any video session and must accept it before billing starts. It also separates an "Open session", which other members may enter, from a "Private One2One session" whose price per minute is usually higher. The recruiting page sums up the model's side of this as "No Open Chat required": there is no free public room a host has to perform in to attract buyers.

A host's own words on the recruiting page describe how that feels from the inside. One chathost says the site "is made to value the model by only beginning the stream at a paid chat" and praises fast support. Another says the privacy and safety come from not being exposed in an open chat. These are testimonials, not terms, but they fit the structure the FAQ describes, with paid private sessions at the center.

Buyers find a chathost through profiles. The search pages talk about teaser videos, profile descriptions and galleries, and a viewer can search by features such as hair color, build and ethnic origin, or by the languages a host speaks. Host profiles show an age, languages, a text chat button and a live video chat button. The site also lists category pages with a live count of who is online.

The categories decide what a host offers, and they come with rules. A marriage and commitment category says sexual interactions are not allowed. The FAQ describes one category as strictly non-adult, with nudity forbidden. A softcore glamour category says adult behavior and nudity are allowed but not required, and asks viewers to respect the host's preferences. A "Girls - A Little Shy" category and a card game called Strip HiLo also appear, so the site offers game-style shows too.

Fetish work has its own page. The dominatrix cams page describes a "Hardcore dungeon fetish live chat" covering role-playing, BDSM chat, live bondage, slaves, dominatrix sessions, spanking and latex, among others. One host profile on that page asks the viewer to choose a safe word and state boundaries before a session, which shows that hosts in this area set their own conditions. That is one host's profile text, so it is not a site-wide rule.

Studios are covered on the same recruiting page, where the sign-up form offers three options: create a chathost account, join a studio, or "create a new Studio account". The form explains that "A Studio is created by joining two chathost accounts together", and that setting one up requires an existing chathost account with payment details completed. Each person is allowed one active screen name. How a studio's earnings are divided is not described.

The about page also shows that the site runs prize events in which hosts take part. A news item dated 19 Nov 2025 describes a 4-day 25th birthday event with a prize pool, beginning on Nov. 20, in which members and models can participate. An older item from 2011 describes an 11th anniversary contest for all chat hosts and viewers, built around an interactive game called Take Your Pick. These are promotions reported in the site's own news, and the pages give no rule for how a host qualifies or whether prize money counts toward commission.

People who send traffic have their own door: every page links a Webmasters section for affiliates, and the news archive records that CamContacts won Model-Friendly Affiliate Program at the 2016 AW Awards. The affiliate commission itself is not described on these pages.

Money and rules

Hosts are paid a commission on their paid sessions, and the recruiting page promises "Get paid every two weeks - no delays". The site does not publish its payout methods or a minimum payout. In October 2026 the recruiting page gives the headline rate in a short list: "Up to 80% commission. 75% of our models earn 50% commission or higher." The commission is the host's share, but the pages do not say what moves a host up toward the ceiling, so the top figure is a cap rather than a starting rate.

Prices are not set by the site. The host and viewer agree them, and the pages show no minimum or maximum per minute.

Hosts come from a wide spread of countries. The registration form asks for a residence country from a long list, and the site describes chat hosts from more than 170 countries. Support for hosts is described as "24/7 dedicated online support for webcam models only". The page says all a host needs is "a computer, webcam, and internet connection".

Rules visible on the pages: nudity and sexual behavior depend on the category, as described above, and the recruiting page stresses "Non-adult categories" as a privacy option. The terms bar viewers from asking a chathost to pretend to be under 18 and from offering money for sexual activity in person. Every page footer states that all persons depicted were 18 or older at the time of creation and cites compliance with 18 U.S.C. 2257. Content can be reported through a Content Reporting link.

Who it suits and who it does not

It suits a host who wants one-on-one sessions rather than an open room, who is comfortable agreeing a price in a text chat, and who wants a written commission ceiling and a payout every two weeks. It suits a studio that wants to register under a single account type, and a fetish or femdom host, since there is a dedicated category with its own audience. It also suits a model who wants to choose how far to go, because categories range from non-adult to hardcore and each has its own limits.

It suits less well a model who wants to know her exact rate and payout method before applying, since the pages give only the ceiling, the share most models are said to reach and the two-week schedule. It is a weak fit for a model who wants a free public audience, because the structure sends income through paid private sessions and discovery through profiles and categories. And the site describes no promotion or discovery help for a new host.
