What Streamate is

Streamate is a live cam site, and streamatemodels.com is its recruiting front for performers, with country versions at streamatemodels.uk in English and streamatemodels.com.br in Portuguese. It pays models a percentage of what members spend on them: per-minute private shows, Gold tips, video and photo sales and monthly subscriptions. Signing up costs nothing. The UK FAQ asks "Are there any fees or registration costs?" and answers that sign-up is free: "There are no costs to opening a model account." What a model needs before starting is a computer, a webcam and an internet connection.

The UK home page pitches the program as joining "the largest webcam community worldwide", and the meta description of streamatemodels.com calls it "the biggest webcam modeling network" and "the highest paying webcam job". Those are the company's own superlatives. The UK site also takes leads through a short form: a model enters personal and contact details, confirms she is at least 18, and a representative contacts her with further details. Both country sites show a phone line and an e-mail contact for model support.

How earning works here

Free chat, then paid chat. The UK FAQ walks through a session. A model who starts streaming is in free chat mode, where members can enter the room, chat and see the video. When a member takes her into one of the paid chat types, non-paying customers can no longer see what happens in the room, and when the paid show ends she returns to free chat. Members find a model by browsing or by search, and the FAQ says the search tools help a model's target audience find her.

She sets the per-minute price. "On Streamate, models have the freedom to choose the price they want to charge customers for a private chat. There are no minimums...it is completely up to you to set your price!" She also decides when to work and for how many hours. The FAQ states the pay basis twice: she earns "a certain percentage of the amount members pay to chat with you", and "You'll get a set percentage of the entire amount of money visitors spent in your room." Earnings can be tracked from the model account.

Gold. Members may give a one-time payment called "Gold", in free chat or in paid chat. The FAQ is frank that these bonus amounts "are usually small but can add up", and counts them in the weekly total next to time spent in paid chat.

Videos, photos and subscriptions. The UK home page lists the income sources as "get paid per minute in live shows, sell videos or photos, or get monthly subscriptions", and the Portuguese home page names the same three. So a model can sell recorded clips and photo sets and take monthly subscribers on top of the live room. The model pages do not describe how a clip or a subscription is priced or what share it pays, so this side is a named option rather than a documented store.

Who can work. The FAQ answers whether a model needs a certain look or behavior with "No!": Streamate says it welcomes webcam models of all sizes, sexes, ethnicities and orientations, and "Couples and groups are welcome too!" The Portuguese FAQ repeats it ("Casais e grupos também são bem-vindos"). Experience is not required; the FAQ promises resources, guides and tips to get started and advice on how to maximize earnings on request.

Traffic and reach. The FAQ says a profile "will appear on over 2500 popular live adult chat websites", while the requirements page puts the network at "over 2000 popular adult webcam sites". Either way, a model is shown well beyond the Streamate site itself. The UK home page claims "200M+ visitors a day", says "Most of our users are paying customers, you won't necessarily have to deal with guests", and promises "We take care of all the advertising". These are the company's marketing lines. For privacy, a model can set geographic restrictions that hide her profile from people in certain cities or countries.

Support and tools. The site advertises 24/7 support during a live chat and says it can communicate with a model in her own language. The UK home page carries a revenue calculator, a gender selector and a "Calculate" button that returns "Your revenue / month", described as an estimate. Next to it the page shows a "Top earns of the month" figure for September, which the site presents as its top earner's month, not a forecast for a new model.

Gear. The requirements page says almost any modern Windows or Mac OS computer will do, and recommends an i7 processor or equivalent with at least 8 GB of RAM for top video quality. Any webcam works to begin with, even a laptop's built-in one; a widescreen HD webcam is recommended to gain attention, and a camcorder with a capture card is the higher-quality option. A model unsure about her setup can ask for advice.

Getting approved. The requirements page sums sign-up as three steps: enter an email address and wait for confirmation, add proof of identity and a profile picture and fill out the profile, then wait for approval and log in. The FAQ lists the application steps as checking age and government ID, choosing a payment method, completing the online profile and submitting a profile picture, and says the application is reviewed within 24-72 hours, with any problems flagged for fixing.

Money and rules

Payout schedule. The UK site is plain: "On Streamate, you always get paid on a weekly basis", and "Once a week, you'll be sent a secure payment through the method of your choice." The Portuguese FAQ says something different, "Uma vez por mês, receberá um pagamento" (once a month you will receive a payment), and the Portuguese home page adds "Na Streamate, você recebe em Dólares" (at Streamate you are paid in dollars). A model in Brazil should confirm which schedule applies to her account.

Chargebacks. "We never penalize performers for charge-backs or card declines; you will always get paid for your performances." The home page puts it as "Streamate covers all chargebacks, regardless of the model's earnings."

The split. The site does not publish the percentage a model keeps, only "a set percentage".

Earnings claims, attributed. The UK FAQ and the UK home page headline advertise a weekly earnings range for models in US dollars, and the Portuguese pages advertise the same floor with a lower ceiling. These ranges are the company's marketing, and the FAQ itself says the amount depends on a model's rate, her time online and her popularity.

Age and ID. The requirements page says Streamate "is strict about meeting legal requirements", so a model must submit proof of identity and age to register, "18 years or above, in most areas". "Any government-issued photo ID is accepted", and the page says the data will be secured.

Content rules and contract. The terms open with zero tolerance for anyone under 18 having any involvement with the site and for any use of the service for prostitution or sex trafficking; a violation closes the account and blocks the person for good. Spam or misleading promotional email tied to the site can lead to disciplinary action that the terms say may include forfeiture of payments. On streamatemodels.uk the contracting party is ICF Tech EU B.V., described as a Netherlands company, under Washington State law, with a court in Amsterdam as the forum for applicants in the European Union. The Portuguese terms name ICF Technology, Inc., a US company, with a court in Seattle. The UK terms were last amended on May 21, 2021. The site does not list its payout methods; a model picks one during the application.

Who it suits and who it does not

Streamate suits a model who wants to set her own per-minute price and her own hours and who values chargeback cover, since the company says it absorbs chargebacks and card declines whatever she earns. The UK model in particular gets a weekly payout. It suits a newcomer with a basic setup, because a laptop webcam is enough to start, experience is not required and the review is promised within 24-72 hours. Couples and groups are named as welcome, which fits a couple looking for a cam room that pays by the minute. A model who wants reach without building her own audience gets her profile pushed across a network of more than 2000 sites, and one worried about being recognized can block cities or countries. A model who also has recorded content can add video and photo sales and monthly subscriptions to the same account.

The caveats are specific. The revenue share is never given as a number, so the pay cannot be compared with other cam sites from these pages, and the calculator is an estimate rather than a rate card. The earnings ranges differ by country site and are marketing, not an average. The two country sites also disagree on the payout schedule and name different contracting companies, so a model should read the terms for her own market before the first show.
