What Cams.com is
Cams.com is a live webcam site with a model-side section at models.cams.com, where performers register to broadcast and are paid a tiered share of what members spend on them. The footer carries the copyright of Streamray Inc., 1999-2026. The model lander and the registration form are served in German, with a language menu that offers English, Spanish, French, Japanese, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Swedish and Chinese versions. A new model creates her account on the form, and the site sends her login details by email. Nothing on the model pages states a joining fee. A reader who stops here should know it is a cam site's model program with a published tier table, a higher fixed rate on members a model brings in herself, and a two-week pay period.
The model program has two halves. Members the site sends to a model pay her on a sliding scale that rises with their spending. Members she recruits with her own link pay her a fixed, higher share. The site keeps the two apart and calculates them separately.
How earning works here
Members spend tokens in a model's room, and the model keeps a percentage of that spending. The site explains why it switched from money to tokens: the main reason, it says, was constant feedback from models that they took in more money when members did not feel they were spending real money. Members spend on tips, gifts, private chats, party chats, nude chats, cam2cam, voyeur chats, recorded shows and fan clubs, so a model has several paid formats beyond the open room.
The first income line is the tiered payout on members the site brings to the model. The rate rises with spending inside each pay period, which the site defines as two weeks, and the tiers are marginal: each rate applies only to the spending inside its own band, so a model's whole balance never moves to the top rate. In October 2026 the lander shows four levels, from 32% on the first $5,000 members pay the model in a period up to 70% on everything above $10,000, under the heading "Plus bis zu 70% für Mitglieder, die wir dir bringen" (plus up to 70% for members we bring you). The page says a model can simply sign up and start broadcasting to be on that scale. It works the table through an example of one period's spending, band by band, and says the calculation rests on the total number of tokens members spend on her, that there are "keine Gebühren vor der Auszahlungsberechnung" (no fees before the payout is calculated), and that it removes all hidden fees.
The second is the member referral line. As of October 2026 the heading reads "Du bekommst 80% für neue Mitglieder" (you get 80% for new members). A model posts her referral link on social media, the page naming Twitter and Instagram as examples, and earns that share of what new members who join through that link spend on her. The rate covers extras too: the FAQ lists tips, gifts, private chats, party chats, nude chats, cam2cam, voyeur chats and fan clubs. It also notes that payments from referred members are not added to the tiered payouts, so they do not push a model up the tier table; the two lines are calculated separately.
The model help center adds the limit on that program. It is meant to bring new members to the site, so an existing user who has already made at least one credit card transaction on the Streamray network cannot become a model's referred member, and the status may be revoked if a member does not meet the program rules. A model copies her link under My Members in the model center and sees her referred members listed in her account. The same page mentions a separate Bounty Member program, through which an existing member can potentially be added.
That split decides who gains most. Under the site's terms, the referral rate applies from the first dollar a referred member spends, while the rate on the site's own members starts at the lowest tier and climbs only as spending in the period grows.
A second referral program covers other models. The help center says a model who refers a cam model receives a percentage of the referred model's earnings for a year, that only independent models can take part and studio models cannot, and that the referred model has to register through the referrer's own link.
The lander also mentions a bonus program for models and a payout plan document, linked as a separate page, that explains how models earn on the site and how earnings are calculated. The bonus terms themselves are on that linked page rather than on the lander.
Tools named on the pages are practical. The model area has a login, a help section and a "Meine Einnahmen" (my earnings) page reached from the lander, and the footer links an OBS Support page for models who broadcast with streaming software. A model can enter a promotion code at registration if she received one at an event.
Money and rules
Models are paid per two-week pay period, through a method they pick in the model center under My Earnings. The help center names Direct Deposit for US residents, Wire Transfer, Paxum and CosmoPay, and says the options vary with the model's country of residence. The payment account has to be owned by the model herself, or the payment is not issued. Tax forms are required once registration is complete: a W-9 for a model living in the United States and a W-8 for one living elsewhere, and the help page says payment is withheld or delayed until the form arrives. An independent model changes her payment method herself and has to confirm the change with a code sent by email within 24 hours. A model who works under a studio is told to take payment questions to the studio owner.
Each method has its own minimum, and earnings under it roll over to the next period. As read in October 2026, the help page sets the minimum at $50 for Paxum, CosmoPay and direct deposit and at $500 for a wire transfer, which also carries a $20 fee. Paxum and CosmoPay payments are listed with no transfer fees and arrive within 5 business days after the pay period ends. A wire generally takes 3 to 5 business days and can take up to 10.
The registration form asks for username, gender, birth date, country, email, the model's phone number and password. Gender choices are Mann, Frau or Transsexuell (man, woman, transsexual). Usernames must be at least 4 characters, may contain only letters, numbers and underscores, and may not start or end with an X or an underscore; the form suggests choosing a memorable name to stand out among the other models. Passwords need 5 or more characters. The form's country menu is long and opens with the USA.
The footer links an 18 U.S.C. 2257 record-keeping statement, a consent and content policy, a complaint, abuse-report and content-removal policy, and a form to report abuse or sexually explicit advertising, along with the terms of use, a privacy policy and a company website.
Who it suits and who it does not
The referral rate suits a model who already has traffic on Twitter, Instagram or elsewhere, since every member she brings pays her the fixed referral rate while the platform's own members start at the lowest tier. The tier table suits a model who can hold a large paying audience within a two-week period. Male, female and trans models are all offered on the registration form, and a model who wants a written rate table before signing up gets one, with a worked example. A model outside the US has wire, Paxum and CosmoPay as payout routes.
The caveats are the numbers themselves. A new model starts on the lowest tier, and the top rate applies only to the part of a period's spending above the last threshold. A model paid by wire needs a far higher balance before a payout than one paid by Paxum or CosmoPay. The site says nothing about how many models reach the upper tiers. The model pages load in German first, so an English speaker has to switch language from the footer menu.
