What Flirt4Free is
Flirt4Free is a live cam site for performers, studios and talent recruiters, run by VS Media, Inc. It has a public side where viewers watch and pay, and a separate administration portal, studios.flirt4free.com, that its own welcome text describes as "the secure administration area for Flirt4Free models, studios, and talent recruiters." Performers earn a commission on live shows that viewers pay for in credits: tips, private shows, group and party chats, fan clubs, offers and video packages. Webcam4Money, the recruiting site VS Media runs for the network, says in its FAQ that models are paid every two weeks by wire transfer, Payoneer or a mailed check, and that it does not bind them to an exclusivity contract. The portal's login offers four routes in: Studio Administrator, Live Performer, Recruiter and New Application, so a solo performer, a studio running several rooms and a recruiter bringing in talent each have an account type. The public site recruits openly, under the heading "Webcam Models Wanted!", with the line that a model can "Make money from anywhere with an Internet connection!" Before joining, a performer accepts terms that assign the content they stream to VS Media, Inc., covered under Money and rules below.
How earning works here
A performer has a live room, and viewers pay inside it in several ways. The recruiting site sums the routes up as "live performances where you control your rate, VOD where you earn money when videos are viewed, gifts, tips, competitive bonuses and more."
Tips come first. The room's tip panel lets a viewer send credit tips or gifts, choose whether to tip anonymously, and pick a preset amount or enter a custom one. The site calls its tip menus "interactive", so a performer can attach actions to amounts. A Party Goal Meter lets the performer post goals that tips fill, each goal tied to an action, and a Top Tipper title goes to whoever tips the most. A Spin the Wheel game, where spins cost credits, gets the model to do something picked by the wheel. Lovense toys are part of the offering: the home page says they react to tips and that the bigger the tip, the longer the vibration lasts.
Shows come second. The tour page says VIP members can connect with performers "from cam to cam in an open chat scenario, to free tips-only party chat, and private group chats", and it advertises "fully private shows". The room interface lists open, voyeur, private, multi-user, feature, group and party shows. A private show is one-on-one video chat, a multi-user show lets several customers chat in private, and a voyeur can peek at a show in progress. A group show runs on pledges: the performer announces what she or he will do, a credit goal and a length, viewers pledge to join, and the room text says a viewer is charged only if the goal is met and the show begins. Cam2Cam is open to every member in a private show and to VIP members in every non-voyeur show type. A Play and Pay option lets approved viewers pay after the show instead of buying credits first.
Offers come third. A Make an Offer button lets a viewer propose a show to a performer, with a length in minutes and a cost per minute, and the performer can accept, decline or send a counteroffer. A performer can also set deal codes that viewers apply when they enter a show.
Fan clubs and messaging come fourth. A performer can run a fan club, and a fan-club-only show admits only subscribed members. The room's fan club panel lists a discount for members, fan club member content, a special name color in chat and special treatment from the performer. One-on-one messaging in the room is called whispering, and there is a paid direct-message product: VIP members receive bonus DM credits each month, and DM+ lets viewers talk to models offline. The room menu also shows a performer's video packages, a videos page, and a Call me now option.
Referrals come fifth. The recruiting FAQ describes a Member Bonus Program: when a model brings new customers to the site, she or he is "paid double the lifetime credits of what those customers spend on them," and a percentage-based bonus applies to guest users a model converts into regular customers. The FAQ also mentions a revenue sharing program for models who have their own websites.
Discovery is the last piece. The live section is organized by girls, guys and trans sections with sub-categories such as BBW, Asian, redhead, Latina and MILF, and a model directory filters by age band, language, body type and number of performers (solo, couples, three or more). The site sorts performers by what it calls a Power Score: "A model with a higher Power Score appears higher on the home page, the model list, etc." Viewers can raise that score with free Power Boosts. The Top 20 page ranks performers by total minutes spent in shows during the current month, and the site runs Flirt of the Month, Flirt of the Year, Freshest Face of the Month, a Hall of Fame and a Champions League. Its Hot Summer All-Stars contest is an elimination tournament where votes decide "who will compete for major cash prizes", narrowing a Top 100 to a Final 10. A schedule of shows lists performers by date and hour, and VIP members watch 1 hour feature shows for free. The site claims thousands of live performers around the clock, so a new performer shares those lists with a large field.
The studio side runs through the same portal. The recruiting site's studio page promises analytics for judging each model's performance, customizable reports, tech support for the studio's models and live support around the clock, and its FAQ sends a studio to the "Large Studio Operator" button on the signup page. Inside the portal, according to the welcome text, a user can log into a live chat room, view statistics and manage personal information. The portal is offered in English, Spanish, Romanian and Russian, and its footer carries the VS Broadcasting name next to Flirt4Free with links to an overview, a list of the network's sites and an FAQ.
Money and rules
Payout model: a commission on what customers spend. The recruiting site says "Any earnings are based on the commission scale," and neither site publishes that scale or a payout minimum.
Schedule and methods: the recruiting FAQ says "We offer three convenient payment methods for models: Wire transfer, Payoneer, or a mailed check. Payment is made every two weeks."
Exclusivity: the same FAQ says the company does not stop models from broadcasting on other sites and does not believe in "binding them to an exclusivity contract", though it adds that its top models commit regular hours to its own rooms.
Requirements and privacy: an applicant must be 18 or older with valid photo ID, and needs a computer, a webcam, a good internet connection and the company's broadcasting software. Privacy blocking lets a model block any state or country, with the FAQ's caveat that it "does not work for users accessing the site from mobile devices." The FAQ says the company will never give out a model's personal information to users.
The contract terms sit in the agreement shown on the portal login. A performer agrees to it for "a revocable limited license to use the VSM Platform", and the click counts as an electronic signature to the Terms-of-Use Agreement. Under it, anyone who has broadcast or will broadcast irrevocably gives VS Media, Inc. the right to film, record and photograph them. They also irrevocably assign VS Media, Inc. their "entire interest in and to all content or materials", the Performer Content they stream or post, including the copyrights and the right to sue infringers, and they waive moral rights in those works. A separate clause grants VS Media, Inc. and its affiliates the right to use the performer's name, image, likeness, voice and biographical and professional information to advertise the content or any product that features it, unmodified or adapted. The last clause consents to VS Media collecting the personal information needed to use the platform. That is a full transfer of the streamed content, not a license, and a performer who plans to resell recordings elsewhere should weigh it.
On the viewer side, visitors affirm they are 18 or older on entry, and in regions that require it a one-time age check by selfie or an AgeGO login runs through outside partners.
Who it suits and who it does not
Flirt4Free suits a performer who wants several ways to sell inside one room: tips and goals, pledged group shows, private and multi-user shows, offers with counteroffers, a fan club, video packages and calls. Male and trans performers have their own sections to be found in, and the contests and Power Score give an active performer more than one way up the lists. A studio or recruiter has its own login type, which suits someone who manages other people's accounts.
It does not suit a creator who needs the numbers before signing up. The pay schedule and methods are stated, but the commission scale and any payout minimum are not. The agreement assigns the copyright in everything streamed to VS Media, Inc. and grants broad publicity rights, which matters to anyone who wants to own and reuse their recordings. A model with no audience of her or his own should also note that discovery depends on rankings in a very large field.
