What WaveSide Entertainment is

WaveSide Entertainment is a webcam modeling network that recruits adult performers, female, male or transgender, and places their profiles on the cam and roulette sites it runs, where members watch and pay for live shows. The footer says the site is "Owned & Operated by YOLO Media Group, LLC", and the recruiting page says the network was founded in 2011. The site says there is never a fee to apply, every applicant must be 18 or older with a valid government photo ID, and a newly approved model can go live "within hours" of the application being received.

The pages are in English and recruit worldwide, with a published list of countries the network does not accept. The network markets itself hard: it calls itself the "Largest Webcam Modeling Network", the "highest paying webcam modeling network" and "#1 for Internet webcam model support", and it advertises a weekly earnings figure for webcam models. Those are the operator's own claims. What the pages do give in detail is the payout calendar, the ID and photo rules, the equipment needed and a long list of prohibited content.

How earning works here

A model fills in the webcam model application, uploads ID and profile photos, and once approved logs in to the model area to broadcast. The recruiting page says models "earn money from tips, tokens, gold tips and private webcam sex shows requested by webcam voyeur members in your sex chat room". The home page adds that members "pay adult performers based on sexual satisfaction of live webcam sex show performance". The model performs in her own chat room, members tip or spend tokens there, and a member who wants more requests a private show.

Discovery is the part the network sells. It says approved profiles are promoted "on thousands of websites, attracting millions of voyeur members", that its networks "target over 500 million visitors each month", and that "The more traffic performers reach, the higher their earnings ability." The FAQ repeats that a profile "can appear on thousands of websites targeting millions of voyeur members", and the recruiting page says the network focuses on "guiding webcam models toward page #1 placement" and that the network provides the bandwidth for a model to perform for as many customers at once as want to watch. These are the operator's traffic claims, not audited figures.

The network runs more than one kind of site. The home page describes live cam sites and Live Webcam Sex Roulette sites that feature women, men and couples, and says the network shows female, gay, couples, lesbian and trans performers. A separate page, Cam Model Jobs Websites, lists dozens of recruiting sites that all lead into the same application, worded for different performers, among them Non Nude Cam Jobs, Gay-Webcam Jobs, Lesbian-Webcam Jobs, Cam Jobs For Couples, Mature Modeling Jobs and Cam Jobs For Housewives. The list shows the network recruits several performer types, though the main recruiting page also lists being "Comfortable being nude performing live sex in front of your webcam" among the requirements, so a non-nude applicant should read that page against the non-nude site she applies through.

The model sets her own schedule. The home page says "you decide when to perform", and the FAQ adds that to build a member base a model "must commit to being online during specific days and times of those days to stay consistent". The site's suggested routine is the "3 To 5 Webcam Model Plan": broadcasting 3 to 5 days a week for 3 to 5 hours on each of those days. The site attaches its weekly earnings claim to that plan, and the FAQ says earnings depend "upon the quality of your adult webcam sex show as well as the number of days/hours that you broadcast". That is the network's claim, not a figure a new model should plan around.

Identity is handled through the network. When applying, a model creates a performer name that members will know her by on all the network's sites. The site says "Your actual location will never be shared with anyone", that members can only contact her from her chat room, and that she can block a member she does not like. It even advises picking a public location with a similar climate to her real one, so that talk about the weather does not give her away. Payouts come "from our parent company to insure your privacy". No experience is required, per the FAQ, which says the network provides "extensive information and resources", and the recruiting page mentions a support team of experts in webcam modeling.

Money and rules

The FAQ sets out the payout calendar. Payouts "are processed on the first business day of the week". Earnings periods run from Saturday 6:00pm Eastern Time to the next Saturday at 5:59pm Eastern Time, and "payouts processed always fall one week behind". The home page says payouts are weekly "with various payout methods available", and the FAQ sends models to "Payout Methods inside Model Area, we have several to choose from" for both the methods and the minimum, adding that "Earnings accumulate until minimum is met for Payout". The FAQ also says "Webcam models are not responsible for chargebacks." The pages do not publish the model's revenue share or the value of a token or gold tip.

ID rules are strict. The application asks for a clear picture of a valid, unexpired government photo ID (driver's license or passport) and a second clear picture of the model holding that ID next to her face, with name and birthdate legible in both; files must be no larger than 2MB in jpg, gif, bmp, tif or tiff. The legal policy adds that the ID may be a passport, state driver's license, military ID or state photo ID, that photocopies are not accepted, and that no account is issued until the age verification is accepted. A profile needs at least 3 clear pictures, one of them of the face only.

The network does not accept applications from Afghanistan, Albania, Barbados, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, Estonia, the Republic of Georgia, Ghana, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jamaica, Kenya, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Libya, Macedonia, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mauritius, Moldova, Montenegro, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Sri Lanka, Suriname, Syria, Thailand, Uganda and Venezuela.

The legal policy bans prostitution or escorting, anyone under 18 on cam or in the room, illegal drugs and excessive alcohol, violence, blood and erotic asphyxiation, animals on cam, sleeping on cam, advertising other webcam sites and criticizing the site or its models, along with a further list of acts. The model supplies all equipment at her own cost, warrants that her content complies with the laws of her country, her community and the United States, and consents to the network's "right to access, monitor and/or record video chat sessions". The recruiting page asks for a desktop or laptop with a webcam and microphone, Chrome or Firefox, and at least 0.6Mbps upload speed. The policy shows an effective date of May 16, 2016 and a last modification on September 21, 2017.

Who it suits and who it does not

WaveSide suits a new model with no audience who wants the network to supply the viewers, who can keep a fixed weekly schedule, and who values a published weekly payout calendar with no chargeback deductions. Female, male, trans and couple performers all have recruiting sites, and the performer-name and location advice suits someone who wants to stay private.

It does not suit a model in one of the excluded countries, or anyone who wants to know the revenue share before applying. The headline weekly earnings figure is a marketing claim tied to a 3 to 5 day schedule, and the network reserves the right to record sessions, which some performers will not accept. The pages describe live shows only, so a model who also wants to sell clips or subscriptions will need another platform alongside it.
