What It Is
Adult Phone Chat, which the site shortens to APC, is a UK adult phone chat service that recruits operators to work from home. It is a paid-line route: callers buy talk time, pick an operator and are connected to her, and the operator is paid per minute of talk time. Operators are self-employed, paid weekly, and choose their own hours. The recruitment page says anyone can apply who is over 18 and a resident of the UK or EU, and it mentions no joining fee.
The about page says APC is owned by Candywall Limited, "a company incorporated in England and Wales", and that it has "specialised in the provision of telephone services for over 22 years". It also calls APC "the largest and longest-running dirty talk service in the UK". That last line is the company's own description.
How Earning Works
An operator here sells conversation by the minute through the company's phone lines. The company brings the callers, handles billing, publishes the operator profiles and runs the helpdesk. The recruitment page opens with the pitch: "How would you like to work from home and choose your own hours?"
Hours. The page says "The hours you choose to work are entirely up to you and you can work as little or as often as you like." The services run 24 hours a day, seven days a week, "so there are no limits to when you can log on". It ties income directly to time on the line: "The longer you work, the more you earn." The job is framed as a way to "earn real cash whenever you have a spare moment".
What an operator gets. The benefits list on the recruitment page is the core of the offer:
- a choice between two per-minute tariffs;
- weekly pay with itemised statements;
- her own hours;
- full-time admin support and a helpdesk on weekdays, Monday to Friday from 7am to 11pm;
- self-employed status;
- "Your own web profile and personal access number";
- no scripts.
The page adds a line about the partnership it has in mind: "Practice your gift with an established, ambitious and fair partner".
Profile and PIN. Each operator has a web profile and a 4-digit PIN that the FAQ says is always shown near her profile picture. Callers are told to choose an operator and "make a note of their PIN", then choose how to connect and follow the prompts. The PIN is therefore how a regular caller returns to the same operator. The profile page also shows what other customers said about her, so reviews are part of how she is chosen. The site claims over 10,000 genuine reviews across its operators.
Discovery. Callers find operators on the website or on the phone. On the site, a green dot beside a profile picture marks an operator as available, a yellow dot shows she is busy on a call and a red dot that she is not available. By phone, a caller can browse the voice profiles of available operators. The site sorts profiles into categories such as Mature, Domination, Submission, Fetish, BBW and Roleplay, so the category on a profile shapes who finds her.
How the company presents its operators. The about page says the company does not use models and describes its operators as women a caller could find locally across the country. It says quality across the network "is regularly checked" and that "This quality assessment is part of our service and includes phone chat". The stated philosophy is that satisfied customers keep coming back and unhappy ones do not. An operator should read that as a statement that call quality is monitored. The FAQ adds that the company takes complaints about a specific operator or call seriously and investigates them by name and PIN.
How callers pay. Callers can buy minutes by card, ring a premium-rate number, or dial a mobile short code, and the site advertises top-up bonuses and an introductory offer for new customers. Those are caller prices set by the company. Operators do not set what a caller pays; they choose which of the two operator tariffs they work on.
Money and Rules
Pay model. Operators are paid per minute of talk time, weekly, with itemised statements, and work as self-employed people. In October 2026 the recruitment page offers "Choose your own Tariff - 22p or 37p per minute", and its headline puts it as "you can earn up to 37p per minute of talk time". The page calls the rates "highly competitive", which is its own claim. It does not explain what separates the two tariffs or name the payment method.
Who can apply. The answer on the recruitment page is: "Anyone can apply, as long as you are over 18 and a resident of the UK or EU." It adds the kind of person it is looking for: "friendly, chatty, self-confident, open-minded, outgoing, imaginative, flexible".
Joining. There is no online form. The page says anyone who wants to join should email the operators address it gives. The FAQ, written for callers, describes what follows: "All our operators go through test calls and a rigorous engagement process before being accepted in to the Adult Phone Chat team".
Conduct. The FAQ says "Our operators are not authorised to disclose or receive any personal or contact information", and asks callers to report any operator who offers to swap private details. An operator therefore keeps every contact inside the service and cannot move a caller to her own number.
Rules of the line. The site says calls are recorded, that the service is for entertainment purposes only, and that callers must be 18 or older and have the bill payer's permission. The FAQ says the company does not run subscription services and always seeks consent before a caller is charged, and that card top-ups appear on a statement under the Candywall name. The terms of use say a person suspended from the service must not try to re-register without the company's permission.
Who It Suits and Who It Does Not
This suits an adult in the UK or EU who wants phone work with weekly pay and a published per-minute tariff to weigh before applying. It fits someone who wants hours that bend around other commitments, because the company says to work as little or as often as you like and the line never closes. It also fits a person who wants to build regulars inside a ready-made service, since a profile, a personal access number and a PIN let callers ask for the same operator again, and the helpdesk and admin support are run by the company.
It is a weaker fit for someone who wants a guaranteed income. Pay is by talk time, so quiet hours earn nothing; the page itself says the longer you work, the more you earn. Operators are self-employed, which the benefits list states in one word and does not expand on. The company sets the caller prices, checks call quality and bars any exchange of contact details, so an operator who wants to set her own rates or keep her own client list will find no room for that here. And an applicant outside the UK and EU is excluded by the residency rule.
