What it is

Why Not is a Russian webcam studio that hires women, men and couples as webcam models, and hires chat operators and sexters who work remotely. A model streams erotic shows to a foreign audience on webcam sites, the studio keeps a commission on the stream revenue, and the model is paid the rest. The offline studio is in Novosibirsk, and remote work is offered from anywhere in the world. The site is in Russian. The FAQ says a model never has to invest anything during the whole cooperation, because the studio earns only its commission on broadcasts, and vacancies are open strictly from age 18.

The studio says it has more than 10 years of experience, and its vacancies page shows a row of city names that includes Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Sochi, Kazan, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Vladivostok and Yakutsk. The same page says it has vacancies in 131 cities of Russia, and the home page claims more than 400 models work with it right now. Those counts, like its description of itself as the largest studio in the country, are the studio's own statements.

How earning works here

Pay is built on donations for actions of an erotic nature, in the studio's own words, plus private shows. The model's share depends on the working format, and the site names 3: with a chat operator, with a curator, and independently.

With a chat operator, the operator carries on all the correspondence for the model, fills in the accounts and helps with ideas for the show, while the team plans actions for the broadcast and launches promotion. Support is described as 24/7, the schedule is 5/2 with 6-hour shifts, and the team has 3 people: a chief curator, an operator and a curator. This format carries appearance requirements: the studio invites models without many tattoos or piercings and with a body size up to M inclusive. In October 2026 the home page puts the model's share in this format at 30% of revenue, while the model vacancy page heads it 30-50% and explains that the studio's commission is 50% of the stream revenue. The studio argues that an experienced operator raises the average check several times over, so the smaller share still pays more.

With a curator, the model handles the chat and the show herself. The studio trains her before the start, sets up the accounts and stays reachable 24/7, the schedule is free, and the team is 2 people. Appearance does not matter in this format, and the page calls it an option for men, non-nude models and plus-size models, whose audience is smaller and can be handled alone. As of October 2026 the vacancy page states the model's share in this format as 50-70% of revenue.

Working independently, the model runs the chat, the show and the accounts, with the studio setting up the technical side and giving basic training. The studio takes only experienced models on this format and recommends it to models with a small audience. The vacancy page read in October 2026 gives it 85-90% of revenue, and says the studio still solves technical problems and provides daily withdrawal of money.

Women can work at home or in the studio in Novosibirsk and can use every format, with the choice depending on looks, schedule and experience. The FAQ suggests that a model without experience starts with an operator and moves to working alone later if her pages stay quiet. Men work from home only: the vacancy page says the studio percentage could cut a man's income sharply, and it suggests starting with a curator and going independent afterwards. Couples also work from home only, because the page says it is hard to create a healthy working atmosphere in studio conditions, and they can use all formats. In October 2026 the page lists 70-90% of revenue for men and 50-90% for couples. For men, the vacancies page also names the roles of solo model, agent, operator, sexter and administrator.

The offline side is described in detail. The home page speaks of 9 locations in different districts of Novosibirsk, in equipped studio apartments or offices with isolated rooms, with cameras, light, strong computers and daily cleaning. Shifts are arranged so that a model works apart from the others, without crossing paths with other models. For remote work, the studio says it ships a phone or computer, a professional camera and light free of charge, to any city in the world and fully at its own expense.

The studio is direct about the content. A model may keep her clothes on, but the pages say that earning well without undressing at least to underwear is difficult, and they describe the income of a fully clothed model as low. About 5 hours of a 6-hour shift call for a pleasant, slightly erotic look, and about 30-40 minutes of those 6 hours go to private shows. Working in a mask is not allowed in the studio but is possible from home. The FAQ says everything on air complies with Russian law, that the studio does not produce pornographic content and limits itself to erotica without full nudity.

Starting is laid out in 6 steps: a consultation by chat or call, an interview with a curator that is usually a call and can be without video, remote registration of the accounts in 15-20 minutes, the handover of keys by an administrator, a test working day on which the model may simply watch, and then regular work.

Other roles pay on someone else's revenue. The chat operator, covered below, writes in the model's name. The sexter chats with members on OnlyFans and Fansly in shifts of 6 hours on a flexible schedule, flirting in the model's name to sell her photos and videos, with income from content sales; the role asks for sociability and basic English. An OnlyFans model creates photo and video content to the studio's references, which the studio sells itself, and the home page offers women a Fansly page that the studio promotes in exchange for phone photos once a week. An agent recruits new models for a bonus per model plus a percentage of her turnover.

Money and rules

Models are paid a share of stream revenue after the studio's commission, and daily payout is the standard. The vacancy page says a model receives payment for a shift right after it ends, converted to rubles at the Sberbank rate, and that weekly, twice-monthly or monthly payment can be chosen instead. Payment is possible to a card, in cash or in cryptocurrency. After each shift the model gets reports on earnings from all the webcam sites. The FAQ on 2 pages says the studio has no fines for models. It can stop working with a model who breaks certain rules, but says all earned money is still paid in full. Leaving needs no reason and carries no penalty; the studio would like a couple of days' warning.

The studio advertises model income from 200,000 rubles a month, and its home page, as read in October 2026, goes as far as the word guaranteed. That is the studio's marketing, and its own FAQ ties the figure to the operator format, a 5/2 schedule and erotic shows.

Operator pay is a percentage as well. The operator page, read in October 2026, sets it at 20-30% of the model's revenue, with the percentage depending on the size of the check. Payment is twice a month: on the 1st for days 1-15 of the previous month and on the 15th for days 16-31. The operator page also says an advance of 50% of the earned amount can be requested from the first shift, every day if wanted. The page says there are no deductions for small mistakes and that fines exist only for very serious violations, with the conditions kept in the studio's bot.

An operator works fully remotely, from Russia or any other country, on a personal computer that connects to the model's PC. The requirements are age 18 or older (gender is not important), English at elementary level, fast typing and some technical skill; experience is not required, and a newcomer is attached to a mentor. The duties are helping set up equipment, light and camera, starting and ending broadcasts, chatting in English text in the model's name, with a translator allowed, prompting the model, and writing a short report after each shift on the revenue per platform and in total. The standard is 5 shifts a week of 6 hours. A second model can be assigned, which means 2 shifts back to back. After the interview the studio looks for a matching model, which it says takes no more than a week, and it swaps the pairing if the two do not get along, given a day's warning.

On privacy, the studio says it removes a model's data from face-search services and from archives of her VK page before work starts, hides her from CIS countries, and uses DMCA requests to remove unlawfully made photos and recordings of streams.

The webcam sites the models stream on are not named.

Who it suits and who it does not

A woman in Novosibirsk who wants a room, a curator and an operator writing for her has the most complete offer here, at the lowest share. A man or a couple working from home gets a higher share and a studio that has written those formats down, along with free equipment. A remote worker with elementary English and fast typing can work as an operator or sexter from any country, and the daily advance suits someone who cannot wait for the twice-monthly date.

It is not a fit for anyone who will not do erotic performance, since the studio itself says earnings stay low without it. The operator format has appearance limits and a fixed 5/2 schedule. The independent format is closed to beginners. The share for the operator format differs between the home page and the vacancy page, which is worth settling at the interview. And the income figures across the site are the studio's claims about its own models.
