What BestFans is
BestFans is a fan subscription platform run by BestFans GmbH in Hamburg, Germany, and it pitches itself to adult content creators as an alternative to OnlyFans. Registration is free, according to its blog, and the headline claim for earners is the revenue share, which the same post sets against the larger commission it attributes to OnlyFans.
The site's tagline is "For content creators and their best fans!" Its German homepage description calls it "DIE Plattform für Content Creator und ihre Fans" (THE platform for content creators and their fans). The platform itself is German-language, with its terms published as Allgemeine Geschäftsbedingungen, while the company blog runs in both English and German. The blog says adult content "is very welcome on our platform and this won't change in the future," and that creators of "all kinds" are welcome, including those who dedicate themselves to erotic content. The company describes its background in one sentence: "We have been working in the adult business for more than 20 years and besides BestFans we run various classic adult websites."
How earning works here
BestFans is a subscription model. A creator opens a profile, publishes content, and fans pay to subscribe; the creator keeps the sales minus the platform's commission. The English post says the platform offers "almost the same features as Onlyfans" and that explicit content is sold in full legal compliance "within our flexible subscription schemes." It speaks of "the sales you generate" as the creator's income and of subscribers as the people who pay.
The post is written as a direct answer to a specific moment. It recalls the August 2021 headlines in which OnlyFans announced plans to bar sexually explicit videos, and the reversal a few days later, and argues that creators who sold only on that one platform were left exposed. BestFans' answer is that a creator should run "a second mainstay": keep an existing audience where it is, and open a second paid outlet that has committed to adult content. The closing line puts it plainly: "Don't put all your eggs in one basket and join BestFans today!"
The fan side is where the platform makes its most distinctive argument. The post states that a majority of German internet users do not own a credit card and so cannot pay large international providers, and it says BestFans lets subscribers "pay easily via direct debit." That is the post's own claim. For a creator, the practical point is the payment method: German fans who would abandon a card-only checkout can subscribe through their bank account instead. The post frames this as reaching "the (German) fans who value your explicit content."
The second selling point is personal support. Each creator, the post says, is assigned "a dedicated contact person who conscientiously and permanently supports you in generating maximum sales with your exclusive content." The company adds a "reliable customer service support team" and promises "flawless processes" and "continuous expansion." It links the support quality to the platform being "created in Germany," saying creators benefit from customer service "that really understands you and your concerns." A creator who prefers a named contact to a ticket queue gets one, by the platform's own account.
The blog itself works as onboarding material for new creators. Its post list includes "How do I earn money with my content at BestFans?" and "10 tips for your perfect start as BestFans Creator" from October 2020, "3 Hints to Promote your BestFans Page!" from January 2021, and "5 Creative Content Ideas for your BestFans Profile" from February 2021. A post from November 2021 announces a BestFans app or widget for Apple and Android smartphones and tablets, and the blog also hosts an explainer video titled "BestFans: How it works!" with English subtitles. Other posts cover influencer marketing and taking a good selfie for social media, which shows the platform expects creators to promote their own profile on social channels. The English post also points to a well-known German adult creator as an example of the creators it addresses.
Money and rules
BestFans pays a revenue share on a monthly cycle, and the post presents the creator's share as free of chargebacks. In the post as read in October 2026, the commission is 10% and the creator share is 90%: "Chargeback free 90% of the sales you generate are YOURS!" The post explains what the platform's share pays for, namely "the running costs for our operator fees like hosting, support and other technical, commercial and organizational services." It presents the arrangement as a partnership: "It is important to us that we interact as partners on the same level and of course make money together."
Payouts are monthly, in the post's words "a fair and punctual monthly payout." Direct debit is a payment method for fans paying in. The site does not publish a payout threshold, a payout method for creators or a withdrawal fee.
On legal rules, the post says BestFans strictly follows German youth protection law and will "protect you as a creator from any legal actions," and that explicit content is offered within those rules. The binding terms are the German AGB, which the site describes as the conditions for using the BestFans portal as a user. The English post is dated August 31, 2021 and carries an update stamp of March 2022, so the share and the monthly schedule are the company's marketing statements from that post rather than a contract clause, and a creator should read them against the AGB.
The operator is named in the blog footer: BestFans GmbH, Stadthausbrücke, Hamburg, Germany. For a creator who wants to know which company holds their earnings, that is a German limited company with a Hamburg address.
Who it suits and who it does not
BestFans suits an adult creator who already sells elsewhere and wants a second subscription outlet with a lower commission. The post's own argument is risk spreading: one platform's policy change should not end a creator's income. A creator who reads German gains most, because the platform, its terms and its support are German, the payment option for fans is aimed at German subscribers without credit cards, and each creator gets a named contact person.
It also suits a creator who weighs the commission first. The post sets its commission against the higher one it attributes to OnlyFans, with registration free of charge and payouts monthly.
The caveats are real. The English material is a marketing post from 2021, and the binding terms are in German only, so a creator who does not read German will be signing conditions they cannot easily check. The platform is built around German-speaking fans, which helps a creator with a German audience and does less for one whose subscribers are elsewhere. The site does not describe a discovery feed or search that would bring a new creator their first subscribers, so a creator starting with no audience should expect to bring their own traffic, as the blog's promotion tips suggest.
