What MaJu Studios is

MaJu Studios is a Colombian webcam studio based in Manizales that recruits models for in-studio work and for home-based (satellite) work, and also advises people who want to open their own studio. Its pages are in Spanish. It pays models a commission on what they bill, twice a month by bank transfer, and its FAQ says it asks for no deposit or money of any kind to start. The studio calls itself "MaJu Studios Colombia" and, on its satellite page, says "Somos una empresa de Tecnologia", a technology company, because much of its pitch rests on software it has built for its models.

Unlike many studios, it publishes its percentages, with a different range for each way of working. A reader who stops here should know it is a studio with two main ways to work, a published range for each, fixed pay dates, an online academy and a mandate-type commercial contract.

How earning works

The model's work is broadcasting on third-party cam sites with the studio's support. The FAQ lists what that involves: virtual company for viewers anywhere in the world, live and private shows, shows for tokens or tips, and conversation, within the rules of each site.

In studio mode, the model works from a MaJu location in Manizales or Villamaría. The requirements are to be a woman over 18 with a cédula or passport, to live in the city where the branch is, to have at least 7 hours a day, and to have basic computer and English skills. The studio does not accept minors, and it does not accept photocopies or photos of documents in place of the document. Shifts are published: mornings from 7:00AM to 2:00PM and afternoons from 2:00PM to 9:00PM, with the night shift marked as not available. On site she gets a content manager, in the studio's words a "Líder de modelos webcam", who supervises her broadcasts and shows, HD cameras, rooms with decorative panels and RGB lighting, makeup spaces, scheduled photo and video sessions, and English classes whose cost the studio says it covers. The studio page also advertises a guaranteed fixed biweekly base pay, with terms and conditions, and says it can pay for connection time.

In satellite mode, the model works from home and chooses her own connection hours. The satellite page asks for women or couples over 18 with a cédula, passport or DNI, with or without experience, at least 5 hours a day every day, a suitable private space, and equipment: a computer with good performance, an HD webcam and internet of at least 20MB download and upload. The modalities page opens this route to Spanish-speaking countries across Latin America, and to Spanish speakers elsewhere when the studio's payment system can reach them. For a candidate without that equipment the site points to a third route, streaming from a phone on video-chat apps such as Chamet and Tango, under its Streamer Agent brand.

Training runs through "MaJu Academy", described as an online professional academy for webcam models with practical activities and personal support, and the FAQ says no experience is needed because the studio provides induction, training and strategic accompaniment. It also says English matters because most users are English speakers, and offers a real-time translation app, a moderator and an English teacher. The studio runs events as well, including free masterclasses and prize contests.

The sites a model can work on are listed on the "ofertas" page: LiveJasmin, Streamate, Cams by Streamray, Chaturbate, Stripchat, BongaCams, Amateur.tv and SkyPrivate. For each one the studio says there are exclusive advantages given by the platform "en convenio con MaJu Studios", by agreement with the studio.

The studio's own software is a large part of the offer. MaJu Pay is its payment system, which the FAQ says brings punctual payments, micro-advances and cash advances. MaJu Ads is targeted advertising for its models on adult ad networks. MaJu Shop sells toys, accessories and lingerie at a discount, with purchases that can be spread through MaJu Pay. MaJu Messenger carries technical support during broadcasts. MaJu Refer is a referral program: anyone can refer a person who wants to work as a webcam model and earn a commission based on what that model does. MaJu Protection is described as automated software that periodically searches for content recorded without permission and requests its removal under copyright and the DMCA, and that adds a watermark and a personal digital signature to the broadcast. The FAQ is frank that a viewer can still record a stream.

For people who want to run a studio, a separate page sells advisory plans under a notarized commercial contract.

Money and rules

The payout model is a commission on sales under a mandate-type commercial contract, which the FAQ says sets out the conditions agreed on the day of the interview. As of October 2026 the FAQ gives the studio-mode commission at the Manizales, Armenia, Pereira and Girardot branches as "desde un 50% hasta un 70%", and the satellite page advertises 80% to 94% for home-based models. The FAQ explains the spread in studio mode by bonuses added to the base commission for performance, for meeting time commitments and for transport.

The payout rails are fixed. The studio and satellite pages both say payment is biweekly, on the 5th and the 20th of each month, by bank transfer, and the home page names a Bancolombia savings account as the destination. On the exchange rate, the FAQ says the studio pays at a market rate it describes as the top one available and takes no discount on the dollar, which it contrasts with studios that do. The home page adds that advances, including weekly and daily ones, are available through MaJu Pay once a model has completed at least 1 month.

The rules the FAQ states:

  • Age and ID: the model must be of legal age, "mayor de edad +18", with a cédula de ciudadanía.
  • Appearance: no perfect measurements are needed. The studio asks instead for attitude, charisma, responsibility and commitment.
  • Country blocking: the studio's internal policy is to block the sending country, or the countries the model chooses, and she broadcasts under a pseudonym.
  • Contract: once a model has started and has broadcast, she is taken to understand and accept the terms and conditions of the activity.

On income, the FAQ refuses a figure. It says a model earns a percentage of what she sells, with no predefined minimum or maximum, and that starting is not easy.

Who it suits and who it does not

MaJu suits a woman in Manizales or Villamaría who wants a studio with a content manager on site, published shifts and a commission range she can read in advance. It suits a model elsewhere in Colombia or Latin America who has her own equipment and wants to work from home on a higher percentage with the studio's training, payment system and advertising tools. A person with no experience gets an academy and an induction, and a model worried about recordings gets a named takedown tool.

The caveats are specific. Each commission range is wide, and the position inside it depends on bonuses and on the contract's own conditions, so the two ends are very different deals. Studio mode asks for at least 7 hours a day and residence in the branch city, and it is open to women only. Terms and conditions apply to the base pay, the transport bonus and the benefits. The requirement lists on different pages do not fully agree on documents and hours, so the modality page a candidate applies through is the one that counts for her.
