What it is

Models1A is a webcam studio and training agency in Colombia that recruits and coaches people to work as cam models, and it pays the models it signs a percentage of what they sell. The page at agencia1a.com, signed Models1A, says it has more than 12 years of experience, 8 branches in 4 Colombian cities and a work-from-home program for models anywhere in the country or the world. The page is in Spanish and addresses women who want to start with no experience.

The same page carries the agency's own superlatives, and they are its marketing claims. It calls itself "El Mejor Estudio Webcam en Colombia y América Latina" (the top webcam studio in Colombia and Latin America), says it was named the leading studio in Latin America for 7 consecutive years, and says it holds a world record for the model with the highest billing on private platforms.

How earning works here

The model is a revenue share: a model streams live on cam platforms, the studio handles rooms, coaching and production, and the model is paid a percentage of her sales every week. The agencia1a.com page describes 2 ways to work under that arrangement.

In the studio route, a model streams from one of the agency's branches in Medellín, Bogotá, Pereira or Cúcuta. The page says the 8 branches hold more than 200 equipped rooms and calls them modern, spacious and luxurious, placed in sectors with easy access to public transport. The branches are described city by city. In Medellín the page says the agency is the largest studio in the city, with branches in the sectors of Laureles, Guayabal and Itagüí, near the metro. Bogotá has more than 6 years of presence, with 2 large branches in Teusaquillo and Barrios Unidos, one of them a 5-floor building with a rooftop, 24-hour private security, parking spaces and access to Transmilenio. Pereira is in the Álamos district, and the page stresses that branch's size, social areas and lobby. Cúcuta has one of the largest branches in the city, with a double-height photo studio, 24-hour private security and air conditioning throughout. The page adds "Pregunta por nuestros bonos de transporte" (ask about our transport bonuses).

In the second route, called #WORKFROMHOME, a model streams from a private room or apartment at home. The page says this path carries the same benefits as working in a branch: 24/7 accompaniment, training, punctual payments, contests, trips and photo sessions. A model working from home needs a computer, a 4K camera, professional lights, a pleasant backdrop and high-speed internet, preferably fiber optic. The page says availability is needed Monday to Saturday and notes that Thursday, Friday and Saturday are the strongest days to stream.

The page describes the job itself in its FAQ. A model broadcasts live on "plataformas digitales" (digital platforms) with high user traffic, where users look for entertainment, friendship, company and a virtual connection. It says the users of these video chat sites are mainly North American and European, with high purchasing power. It says each model builds her own style, some through conversation, some through energy, some through creativity, and that the model decides how to present herself. The page does not name the cam sites the studio streams on.

The agency sells coaching as the center of the deal. The page says more than 50 trainers who are experts in sales are available through each broadcast to maximize the model's earnings, and calls this 24/7 monitoring and accompaniment. It also lists motivational talks, both large-group and one-to-one, given by a team of trainers with expertise in quality management and psychology. Production is a separate service: the page describes photo and video shoots in exclusive locations with professional photographers, social media teams and makeup artists, meant to make a profile stand out on the platforms and catch the attention of potential users.

On top of that sit bonuses and incentives. The page says the studio offers a wide variety of them, designed to recognize effort and push a model toward bigger goals. It also describes international group trips, which it says more than 200 models have taken to destinations that include Dubai, Greece, France, the Maldives and Romania, and success videos from models about buying a car or an apartment.

Registration happens through an online form on the agencia1a.com site, and the page offers to schedule a call with the team.

Money and rules

Split. The model is paid a share of her own sales, and the share rises with results. As of October 2026 the page's FAQ says "Ofrecemos porcentajes ascendentes del 50% al 70%, según tu rendimiento" (we offer rising percentages from 50% to 70%, according to your performance). For the work-from-home program the same page says the model receives "hasta el 70%" (up to 70%) of her income. The top of the scale is an upper limit tied to performance, not a flat rate for everyone.

Payment timing. Payments are weekly. The page says the studio chose weekly over fortnightly pay because it gives a model liquidity and stability faster, that the money arrives punctually every week, and that a specialized accounting team handles transparency, security and compliance in each payment. The page names no payout method and no minimum.

The agency's argument on percentages. The page spends a long FAQ answer on why a model should accept a studio share instead of working alone. It sets a hypothetical independent model with low sales, who keeps her whole income but pays her own operating costs, against a hypothetical studio model with a team behind her broadcast and far higher sales. It lists the costs of working independently as initial investment, fit-out, rent, equipment, internet, monitoring, photography, technical service and the platform's monetization percentage, and concludes that "La ganancia mayor está en el volumen de ventas y no en un mayor porcentaje" (the bigger profit is in sales volume, not in a bigger percentage). Those are worked examples the agency built to make its case, not records of what its models were paid.

Income claims. The page also answers what a model with no experience can bill in her first months, with a ladder of monthly amounts in Colombian pesos that rises by time in the studio. That ladder is the agency's marketing, alongside its claim that it has the highest incentives in the country.

Requirements. The page lists 5. A model must be 18 or older. She needs a valid physical identity document, and the page names the cédula, a passport or a PPT. She needs time, with a minimum of 6 hours a day recommended because, as the page puts it, the more exposure the higher the chance of sales. She needs good photos, charisma and a will to learn. And she needs discipline, patience, consistency and focus.

Who it suits and who it does not

The studio route suits a woman in Medellín, Bogotá, Pereira or Cúcuta who has no audience and no equipment and wants a room, a trainer and a schedule handed to her. The page's own pitch is that it creates and trains models with no experience in a professional and disciplined way. Someone who wants structure and live sales coaching during every show is the reader this is written for, and weekly pay helps a newcomer who cannot wait a month for a first payment.

The work-from-home route suits someone outside those cities, or outside Colombia, who has private space and a good connection. The page lists the equipment as a technical requirement the model brings. A 4K camera and professional lighting are a real outlay for someone starting from zero.

It suits less well a performer who already has an audience and wants full control of her schedule, her platform choice and her own brand. The recommended 6 hours a day and the Monday to Saturday availability mean a heavy weekly commitment, and the agency itself argues against chasing a bigger percentage. A model who wants a fixed written rate before agreeing should note that the page gives a performance scale and an upper limit, so the share depends on her results. The page covers live webcam work only, so a model looking for clip sales or custom videos is outside its offer. The page is addressed to women throughout.
