What Unicorn Agency is

Unicorn Agency is a videochat studio in Bucharest that hires models for live shows with paying members, and it publishes its hiring page in Romanian. It pays its models a percentage of what they take in, on a contract the home page calls fully legal and signed on the first day, with all taxes paid to the state. It runs several studio locations in the city, takes beginners, and lists a men's videochat route, a non-adult route and a from-home route alongside the main one. Nothing on the pages asks a model to pay to join, and the home page says there are no penalties or hidden costs.

The studio describes itself as a company more than a studio, with over 200 active models and over 50 staff, and its stated ambition is to become the largest online model agency in the world. It also says it won Best Studio Franchise and Cam Studio of the Year at the Bucharest Summit 2024.

How earning works here

The core job is live videochat. The site describes it as members and models connecting in real time, with conversations that run from small talk to more intimate interaction, within limits the model sets. The studio supplies equipped and decorated rooms, technical support, training and promotion so the model can concentrate on performing instead of administration. The home page says the studio works on 12 sites, premium and free, and presents that spread as a way to earn more.

Nudity is not presented as an obligation. The FAQ says many people assume models must undress and that this is untrue, and that the studio has a section where it is completely forbidden, with the stress on socializing and entertainment. That is the non-adult route in the studio's menu.

The pay structure is a progressive target. The hiring page says the studio rewards models through several steps of takings and through contests on online hours. On top of the percentage, the home page lists a weekly cash bonus for models at the start of their career and internal contests with prizes paid in addition to takings. The hiring page adds a weekly cash bonus for a model who is online from the studio at least 50 hours a week, more than the contract minimum.

Where a model works is part of the offer. The site names studio locations in Tineretului, Victoriei, Iancului and Piata Muncii. The Piata Muncii studio is billed as a luxury space with spacious rooms and last-generation equipment, close to public transport, on Strada Locotenent Baican Ionescu in sector 2. The gallery page says the studios were designed by a team of architects and interior designers.

Support is a stated selling point. The site promises support around the clock, free professional photo sessions, training for the whole collaboration and ways to move up in the company. Students are addressed directly: the studio says it will fit the schedule around courses and exams whatever the faculty. The hiring page also shows how the studio is organized, since besides the model role it advertises a trainer and team leader role and an IT support role.

Financial help goes beyond pay. The hiring page offers an advance for personal needs without questions or a guarantee, help with buying a car that the model repays over time, help with housing, and help with a change of look or a cosmetic procedure. A small refresh, such as a haircut, coloring, nails or lashes, is available after the first working period.

Referrals, and who can send them. The studio pays a reward to anyone who recommends a friend, woman or man, who is then hired as an online model. The hiring page states that the offer also holds for people outside the agency, so this is a recruiting bonus open to non-models. The site's menu also carries an "Afiliaza-te cu Unicorn Agency" entry (affiliate with Unicorn Agency).

Men. The menu lists "Videochat bărbați" (videochat for men) as its own route, and the referral wording covers male friends as well as female ones. The hiring text itself is written to women.

The tone of the hiring page is blunter than most. It says the sums people hear about are real, that the job is hard, that nobody makes tens of thousands of dollars in the first month, and that results come with a great deal of work and discipline. It suggests treating the job as a few years of saving toward another business.

The application route is short. The candidate fills in the form on the hiring page, writes on chat or sends an e-mail, and a representative of the agency contacts her with details and sets the interview date.

Money and rules

The durable terms first. Pay is a percentage of the model's takings that climbs by steps, under a legal contract signed on day one, with taxes paid and, by the studio's statement, no penalties. The basic requirements in the FAQ are a minimum age of 18, conversational English and good communication skills, and no previous videochat experience is needed.

The headline percentage reads differently on two pages. In October 2026 the hiring page says a model can reach 65% of her takings from the very beginning, while the home page advertises a percentage of up to 70%, which it claims no other studio on the market beats. Both are ceilings in the studio's own words.

For the start, the home page read in October 2026 promises guaranteed earnings of 10.000 lei a month for the first two months, and the hiring page words the same promise as a guaranteed salary for the first months.

The referral reward, as of October 2026, is $1000 for each recommended person who is hired as a model. The advance for personal needs goes up to 10 000 lei.

On income, the FAQ read in October 2026 says model earnings vary and average 45-50 dollars per hour at the studio, influenced by experience, involvement and interaction with clients. It is the studio's own average, with no period or group of models attached.

On privacy, the site says it uses advanced technology to protect personal and financial information, that the platforms models work on cannot be accessed from Romanian territory, and that it guarantees the models' identity is protected.

The pages do not state a payout schedule or a payout method, and they do not print the steps behind the percentage.

Who it suits and who it does not

Unicorn suits a person based in Bucharest, including a complete beginner, who wants a studio with equipment, training and a trainer on hand, and who prefers a stepped percentage with a guaranteed floor at the start to a flat rate. The progressive target and the hour-based bonuses reward steady performers who treat the work as a regular schedule. A student gets a schedule built around classes. Someone who would rather not do erotic shows has a named section for that. Men have a route in the menu, and anyone at all can collect the referral reward for a hired friend. The advance and the look refresh make a quick start practical for someone short of cash.

It is a weaker fit for a model who wants to keep her own accounts or choose her own cam sites, because the studio stands between her and the sites she streams on. The advertised percentages are ceilings, and the two pages disagree on the number, so the contract is where the real share shows. Help with a car is money the model pays back over time, so it is a debt to her studio and not a gift. A model without conversational English falls short of the stated requirements. And the site itself notes that the videochat field is controversial and can be viewed badly by some people, so a new model should be ready for that conversation at home.
